I have been to Doe’s Eat Place in different states. I had never been to the one in Fort Smith, Arkansas until last night. I went with eight business colleagues and the Service and Food was the best of all of the Doe’s I have been to. I have never had a bad steak or meal or experience at any Doe’s Eat Place. Last night though, far exceeded my expectations. I cannot wait to return and bring my wife, since she is a huge Doe’s fan, to experience this wonderful restaurant. The ambiance and service were spectacular. I had the Rib Eye Steak which was cooked to perfection and the Aus Jus on the steak was really Black Gold! My compliments and thanks to the Management and Staff for making our visit truly memorable.

We were part of a large group that were seated in the wine cellar. Great Service in a one of a kind room. We loved the food. The manager spent time with us talking about the history of the building and the city. A very enjoyable Dining experience.

Fantastic restaurant. Service was top-notch, one of the best steaks I have ever eaten, and just overall an amazing experience. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Arkansas.

This was a different experience from the other Does' that I have visited. I was in a group of 18 so we were seated in the cellar of this great historic building and the manager shared some of the history with us. The food was great but the stories and personal attention from the staff put it over the top. What a great evening!

This is a great historical place to eat! AMAZING STEAK! I had ribeye with blue chz hubs had Tbone…And all the rest was yummy too!!! We had great service, wonderful atmosphere and when I asked the history of this 1848 structure…waitress told us a little and then later apparently told the history buff and he came over took time out of his time and was so friendly to give us a good history lesson! Very interesting! Highly recommend!
Edit: as I seen someone say better at a chain restaurant…well that’s where the difference is…if u want cheap blah atmosphere there u go…idk about others but for 1 I research prior to entry..for 2 u want good craft not chain this restaurant is in your budget and u know it wont be less than $100…this place is spot on! And we are from 3hrs south of here and will be back when in the area!

This place was awesome, one of the best steaks I have ever had. Staff and everybody were all great. If you are anywhere close to this area stop and eat at Doe’s. You will not be disappointed.Kenny F.

The building is cool, the wait staff is amazing, but the food was less than impressive. Not 1 single thing we ordered tasted good. The food was served on cafeteria style plastic plates which was unexpected. I guess for the price, I was expecting something more fancy.

If you are looking for a good place to eat in Fort Smith Arkansas, please consider this review. My wife and I were attending a couple of concerts this past weekend August 28 - 29, 2025. We chose to eat at Doe’s eat place due to the reviews and what seemed like an amazing menu. First let me say that the wait staff was great and the service we received was as well. But that being said, the $80.00 2 lbs ribeye that I was served was sub par to say the least. The steak although looking amazing it tasted as if it were pulled from the cow and placed directly on the grill without a single trace of seasoning. Now as that may be good for some, it is not great for most. The honest to God truth is that I have had several steaks from Texas Road House, Out Back Steak House and even Logan’s roadhouse that were far superior to the ribeye that I was served at Doe’s eat place.

This is a true and honest review and buyers remorse is not a factor as I was fully prepared to pay what I did for the meal when I made the reservations. The price I believe would have been more than fair for the steak dinner had the steak stood up to cost.

The atmosphere in this old rock and brick building is amazing! We ate in the cellar. Quite and peaceful visit with family. Just in case you can't go without, little to no cell service at bottom level!

I can never find this place open. I love to try it out on the balcony. It has a lot of potential in the outside.

Housed in an 1848 brewery, the atmosphere this restaurant could not be better! The food and service were perfection. In my opinion it would be a mistake to miss this while in Fort Smith.
