So my family frequently goes to this restaraunt anytime we go to Harrison. We were there today. The food is always good, so don't let my opinions sway you. While we were there today, we noticed an obvious male dressed as a woman. Man voice, man features, just clearly a man in a dress with make up on. This man used the women's restroom. My wife pointed it out because my back was to the restroom. My 8 year old daughter was afraid to go to the bathroom after that. I had to escort my daughter to the bathroom when she needed to go so I could make sure another man didn't go in there with her. I am fairly certain there are laws in place in Arkansas that prevent men from entering a woman's bathroom in public places. I could tell the entire staff was uncomfortable and not as warm like they usually are. We'll probably go elsewhere for sushi and hibachi from here on out.
I had the best filet mignon ever at New Tokyo last night! Our server was excellent too! A very pleasant atmosphere, we will definitely be back!
My family and I were traveling through Harrison, and decided to try something new to eat besides the usual fast foods. We ended up going here to eat. Upon walking in the front door, we were met with a strange funky smell, and a few flies. We were seated pretty quickly, but it took around eight minutes before someone finally came by to see if our order had been filled. It was not, and they had no clue who was supposed to be waiting us. Around five minutes later or waitress came and got our order. We ordered the steak and chicken with a side salad. While we waited for our food, a bug (that looked like either a waterbug or cockroach) ran onto our table. We had to knock it off and kill it. Let me tell you that that really made us lose our appetite. We never got the salads that we paid for. When we finally got our food, the rice was very bland and dry. The steak was so bad that none of us ate it. The chicken wasnt amazing but it was ok. The vegetables were cold. We announced to the waitress that our steak tasted off, but only said sorry and did nothing about it. Overall the food was gross, the inside of the restaurant was dirty, smelly, and bug/fly ridden, the servers took forever, and we spent 60 dollars on food we didn’t eat/get. The waitress was nice but not very helpful. My two cents is to never eat here unless you are about to die of starvation or like taking health risks!

We were very disappointed in our experience, today. We went for our granddaughter's birthday ~ it's an annual thing with our grandkids (with each one of their birthdays). The young lady that sat us DID NOT let us know that their Hibachi chef had quit a few days before. OR We would have done things differently. However, we got seated at the Hibachi grill ~ waitress came and got our drink order and our appetizer order ~ and she said NOTHING about NOT HAVING A HIBACHI CHEF, either. We got our drinks, soup and salad and the appetizer. She took our order ... now we were there at 1 PM on a Sunday. Things are going well (other than the salads were drowning in dressing), we were enjoying ourselves.... Next thing we were waiting on was the guy to wheel out his little prepared cart full of our goodies. NOPE....two waitresses showed up with luch plates (we had all ordered Dinner Portions ~ so we could have leftovers for dinner, tonight)!
Now, with all that being said...we would have just done something different!
So here is the breakdown: Soup ~ amazing!
Salad ~ swimming in dressing!
Meats on everyone's plates ~ drowning in sauces!
Those of who wanted noodles not rice ~ got both noodles and rice NO VEGGIES!!!
Everyone that ordered rice wanted FRIED RICE ~ Missed that one, too. It was just colored white steamed rice.
Appetizers: Crunchy Roll & Dragon Roll were delicious! Service ~ felt rushed 😔 Atmosphere ~ dull 😑 They need to quit using the kitchen mop to mop the dining room floor. It is super slick!!! Price ~ OVER CHARGED!!! NO LEFTOVERS, EITHER!!
So so disappointed!!!

Told 15 minute wait time 30 minutes later still waiting, finally got to a table but they had no menus, 10 minutes later got menus 20 minutes later still have not gotten to order, we just left and hot Arbys across the street, this place used to be great not anymore, and they were not that busy.
I dined alone, yet my food came out mediocrely warm, more on the cold side. My vegetables were not cooked thoroughly. My server was attentive and kind though.

My husband is a door dasher and he had gotten samples of the food from here. He kept saying how it was soooo good. We decided to drive an hour and try it.. We ordered the crab ragoon. It was alright but super greasy. We ordered two sushi rolls. They were the best thing here. We ordered the spicy tuna roll and the lord of the rings roll. The lord of the rings roll was really good! The reason for 2 stars. Then we decided to order the steak and shrimp hibachi. The waitress asked us how we wanted our steak cooked. I said Medium Rare. Anyone who has ordered a steak knows what medium rare is suppose to look like. It's got a red center and suppose to be juicy. My steak was damn near black and hard to chew. The shrimp was very small and had a weird dry flavor to them. The vegetables were hard as rocks and the rice wasn't cooked all the way. I'm sorry but paying $22.99 for that is a rip off. Our waitress kept apologizing for everything. My husband drank all of his Dr pepper and she brought him a sweet tea. I was the one drinking a tea. So he waited well over 45mins to get another soda. Then we go to pay and on the receipt it says for cash pay the total is $87 something and for a card it's $91 something. I was like wow where is a sign that should say, for all debit/credit cards there is a 3% credit card fee applied? Needless to say we will not be back. I'll stick to going to Mountain home if I want sushi and hibachi

Me and my daughter had a wonderful experience! Everyone was very welcoming and quick to make sure we had our drinks and appetizers. Our waiter was so polite and on point! Even the manager would stroll around the restaurant to make sure everyone was satisfied and orders were out on time. This is the only Japanese restaurant we will go to in Harrison! 😀
It's just an an all around great place , the food is amazing , nice atmosphere and plenty of people to help .
