I am SO disappointed.!!!!! This is a restaurant that we used to go out of the way to visit anytime we were in the state, & we were excitedly looking forward to the flavor treat we were used to. We talked the place up & bragged on their food to the 5 others we were treating to dinner! When we arrived the restaurant looked exactly like it used to, but the prices had jumped exponentially, (which we somewhat understood given the current economy). We were expecting the large filling meal we had always received, but what arrived as a "meal" was really more like of an appetizer size. Clearly, something had changed!!! The food was extremely tough, & severely lacking in flavor. Not a single one of the 7 of us enjoyed our food & we left the majorityof it sittingon our plates.. While the food arrived hot & looked appetizing, the look was deceiving, as the flavir was just simply not there. We later found out that the restaurant had been sold & was under new management, which explained the much lighter portion size, exaggerated pricing, overall lack of flavor & lower quality ingredients!! Once again all I can say is that what used to be a flavor treat has now become more like an overpriced, highly disappointing, severely lacking Japanese fast food establishment. We will never return to New Tokyo in Harrison AR.

The last few times, including today, that I have ordered here, I have specifically told them to not add sauce to my food, but no matter what I say, when I get my order, my food is drenched in sauce. MSG and sugar in sauces make me sick. I am now dealing with heart palpitations because they did not listen to instructions when preparing my food. I wouldn't have eaten the food if I hadn't wasted $80 on it. I will never order here again.

We stop to eat here a few times per year. So far, it is the best sushi we've found in the North Central Arkansas area. Does it measure up to sushi restaurants in big cities like Las Vegas? No. But their sushi, salads, soups, and appetizers are still quite good. The restaurant is always clean and the servers friendly. Their ginger dressing for the salad is ah-ma-zing! Truly it is. I spoke with the lady who makes it there, and she makes it fresh from scratch every day!
Their sushi is all fresh and tastes delicious. My biggest complaints are that the rolls are too big, as in the diameter. It makes for an overfull mouthful that is difficult to chew. I mean, the taste and texture are spot on and yummy, but I wish they would make their rolls just a little bit slimmer. Also, I love love love eel sauce, but their is bottled, not made fresh, and is way too salty and not enough sweet.
Other than those two things, every visit there has been filling and enjoyable for a reasonable price and good service. They even have some low carb options for those eating a low carb, diabetic, or keto lifestyle.

We are from California and haven’t had good sushi rolls like this in 2.5yrs. We live in Bentonville and will make the drive for date nights! Sushi was fresh and didn’t break the bank!

I do not know about the food all I know is that it was 6 in the afternoon they had people at the hibachi, cooks cooking at the hibachi, but would not let me sit at the hibachi!. Told me i would have to sit at a regular table and order.
