El Jimador Grill | Mexican

Located inside the hot springs village we decided we would stop in one night for dinner while on vacation. I dont like to usually try Mexican while on .vacation because we have.found alot of horrible Mexican resterauntants. This one was so good! I had the seafood nachos they were AMAZING, both my grandchildren had the kids grilled chicken with queso and rice and they both said it was really good. Infact my 1 picky eater cleaned his plate and wanted more. My husband had like a fajita nacho plate. I dont remember what the name of it was. He said it was really good.as well. Our waitress was.so sweet as well. A few nights later my daughter and son-in-law decided to try it and they both as well.saod it was really good.

Stoppedby for lunch. Cute place and the food was great!

Food and service was great! So glad we chose to eat lunch here!

They said I wouldn't be able to find good Tex Mex in the village but they must have been unaware of this place. It's the first Tex Mex place I've tried here that I plan on returning to and it's right down the street from my house!

This is a good local place. It had live music. It is convenient. The drinks were a little off. We had dessert here, sopapillas. They were good. Needed a little more honey. 🍯 We’ll stop in again.

Great menu, excellent food, and nicely decorated interior. The salsa was excellent. Sour Cream Enchiladas, Vegetarian Soup, Chicken Street Tacos were all superb. I loved the Refried Beans as well. A different taste than normal. The food arrived very fast, which I suppose is not always going to be the case but it was nice anyway.

Being from SoCal we know our Mexican food and love it! The food/ drinks and service here was fabulous. Loved their beef tamales as well as the extra large Cadillac margarita!
Sure wish we had their prices back home!!

They treated you like family as soon as you walked in the restaurant . Everyone was attentive of their guests and didn't have to wait to be asked if their drinks were getting low, and came around every so often to see if you needed anything. Over all I would recommend El jimador to everyone. Plus, the food and portions were well worth it.

When we got there, there were very few people, the table was somewhat dirty and the dishes that the food came on were chipped.

Waitress only came once to check on us, even when food was out. She never came.
She dropped a cup of glass that broke everywhere. She proceeded to clean some of it, but there was still glass everywhere. That’s a HAZARD ⚠️
FOOD was very salty and had no flavor.
Waitress seem a bit unhappy at the end of paying and never said thank you for coming please come back soon nothing.

We left a bit upset and probably won’t come back.

This is the best Mexican food restaurant in Hot Springs Village. If you can find better service come and get me to verify it. Other places (bar next door), needs to learn from the El Jimador model of business. A much needed renovation several years ago did wonders for El Jimador. The food is real solid as well.
