Love this place! Such a chill atmosphere and good food too!!!
Major remodel just completed, adding a much larger bar, ample seating and a multitude of TVs to cheer on your favorite teams!
The cheese curd appetizer, steak sandwich and Smashburger we had, were all delicious!
Draft beer was ice cold and refreshing!
Service by Mickey was above par.
We felt like regulars that had been coming there for years.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and are looking forward to our next visit.
It's my favorite hangout. I love Mickey and Sandy. They really welcome everyone. They have great music, a variety of game nights, good bar food. It reminds you of Cheers. To be honest since I started going there I don't go to any other place. I wish them luck on their expansion.

Sand Trap Sports Bar & Grill is a popular spot in Hot Springs Village known for its friendly atmosphere and great food. Many visitors compare it to the TV show "Cheers," where everybody knows your name. The restaurant offers a variety of events, including Darts on Mondays, Music Bingo on Thursdays, and a gourmet brunch on Saturday and Sunday. It is one of the few places open on Monday, making it a convenient choice for many. The food is consistently praised, with highlights like the blackened shrimp, cheezy grits, and Creme Brule French toast, often enjoyed with a Mamosa. The kitchen serves fresh, savory dishes that are described as works of art, and the appetizers are also highly recommended. Service is friendly, attentive, and personal, with staff members recognized for their excellence. The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable, with music that is a good mix of genres—loud enough to enjoy but not overpowering conversation. Many guests feel at home, whether they are locals or visitors from out of town. Although some mention a limited salad menu and pricing concerns for large groups, overall, Sand Trap is seen as a great place to relax, dine, and have fun. The new owners, Richard and Amy, are appreciated for their investment in the restaurant’s welcoming environment.
