We love this place. You go for the food and you stay for the people. Food is great. The atmosphere can feel a little like a cafeteria. If they dimmed the lights, had piano music and tablecloths for evening dining, the place would have totally different feel. The potential is there. It has the views and the architecture. It just needs the a bit less of an institutional feel and this place could return to its historical glory. Best Old Fashions in the Village. Actually it has the best cocktails in the village.

Great little salad bar
Very friendly staff, and are genuinely concerned about their customers. They know when you are close to finishing your beverage and or meal. They come around frequently to ask you how everything is. I will definitely recommend the De Soto Club to everyone.

We were pleasantly surprised by our meal here. We both ordered the salad bar, which was well stocked, and the baked potatoes were a great addition. We also ordered the coconut shrimp, and they arrived undercooked and cold in the middle. They quickly remade them correctly, and we enjoyed the rest of the meal.

We’ve been coming here since 2018 and it was slightly going downhill until this past year where it’s rapidly gotten much worse. Food taste and quality has deteriorated while the prices have increased all within the last year. Service is 50/50 although last 3 times it’s been bad. Only thing decent here now is the view of the golf course. We will not be coming back unless there are some serious changes made
