We tried to eat here when we got into town on Saturday night…we didn’t realize you needed reservations…they were actually OUT OF PIZZA, but the girl was super nice about it, not rude at all! So on Sunday, we decided to eat lunch at the place we had planned on going to for dinner, so we could order a pizza to go for later that evening! Worked out pretty perfectly! We were scheduled to pick up at 5:30. It wasn’t ready when we arrived, no biggie, but at 5:40, they informed us it would be another 15 mins…ugh…I want to give props to Heather…she offered to buy us a drink while we waited, which was super nice of her!! I declined, but my hubs did have a beer!! In the end, it was worth the wait…the pizza was delicious! Would definitely recommend this place to others, just remember to make reservations or order to go for later!!!Parking: There is paid parking within town, but also plenty of free parking…if you’re lucky enough to snag a spot!

Came down from Chicago to visit old friends. Decided to try Delucas and see if Portnoy was on spot. WOW, pizza had an old school Chicago bar pie taste, thinness and crunch, something Chicago lacks these days. We got there and it was alittle busy, so we walked around downtown for a 1/2 hour before they texted that our table was ready. Service was very good. Waiter was very attentive, and kept us updated on the pies we ordered. Took close to an hour because they were backed up, big deal. You want good pizza, you sometimes have to wait. The 2 pies were well worth the 700 mile drive. Thanks again. We'll be back next time we come down.Parking: Free street parking on Sundays

Ran out of pizza dough at 4pm on a Saturday! Apparently they only allot a certain amount of dough per day - crazy business model

We ordered two pizzas, cheese and pepperoni sausage, and both were burnt. We first thought maybe they just char them like that. Then I bit into a slice, the cheese was crunchy, We were so hungry we just went ahead and ate it, but not left with the best impression with their food. The wait staff was very nice and recieve great service.

As longtime patrons of nearly ten years, it is with great disappointment that we must share our recent experience at Delucas Pizza. Our visit, which involved a 135-mile one way drive, left us feeling disheartened and frustrated with the level of service provided.Upon calling at 12 PM to confirm our visit, we were assured that while reservations were not available, walk-ins were welcome. However, upon arriving at 3:30 PM, we were shocked to be turned away for pizza and informed that reservations were necessary. This lack of clarity regarding walk-in policies, especially considering it was early on a Saturday afternoon, was incredibly frustrating. To add to our disappointment, the fact that Delucas apparently ran out of pizza dough before the dinner rush on a Saturday is baffling and unheard of for a pizza establishment. We understand that these are the highest quality ingredients, but considering that the location has changed numerous times, the ownership doesn’t seem interested in scaling to size - your restaurant should simply declare that it is by reservation only. In stark contrast, a nearby pizza establishment effortlessly accommodated large crowds, and ultimately served us great pizza in lieu of Deluca’s failure. It's evident that Delucas seems more focused on leveraging support from Dave Portnoy and Barstool Sports rather than maintaining the standards and customer service that we once loved. The prominent "BAR" signage suggests walk-in business, yet the reality is far from welcoming, requiring extensive pre-planning for a simple pizza order.Furthermore, the owner's aggressive responses to valid criticisms reflect poorly on the business and create a hostile atmosphere for customers. We are deeply disappointed in the direction Delucas has taken and hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement. As longtime supporters, we sincerely hope that Delucas can return to the quality and hospitality that made it our favorite pizza spot for many years. However, until significant changes are made, we will be exploring other dining options.

We drove 80 miles just to eat pizza at the infamous Deluca’s Pizza. We walked in at 2pm and were told that you have to reserve pizza dough in advance. Reserve pizza dough?!?! Seriously?!?! They said they only make so much pizza dough per day, and they had all dough reserved for other people. There is nothing on their website or on their FB page saying that you need to reserve pizza dough. What a colossal disappointment.

I grew up in NYC. I lived around the corner from a pizza place: 123 pizza on Frederick Douglass Boulevard and 123rd Street. It's gone now. So am I. I was craving NY pizza, as I often am, when I heard about Deluca's. That craving had been satisfied.Thank you for giving me a slice of home.
