I looked up black owned restaurants and “Granny’s Kitchen” popped up. It was family owned so that’s good enough for me because I wanted some TLC with the food instead of a rushed commercial chain food so we walked in and it looked like a scene from “Get Out” everyone’s head turned and looked at us and I was ready to turn around and leave. My homeboy is from Arkadelphia so he didn’t mind it at all. lol Anyways other than that the food was bland and you really can’t mess up breakfast but the chef did! My cheese was on top of my eggs and not melted, I asked for turkey bacon and I’m sure they gave me sausage smh thank God I’m not Muslim because I would’ve been still praying. And other thing don’t put nobody else Granny on nothing cause Granny would be rolling around in her grave if she knew yall was using her name and selling this breakfast like she cooking. That’s a newbie in the kitchen or today just wasn’t the day. The pancakes were good though. The waitress was nice and very accommodating. The owner or manager was nice, it was just the environment. We were paying our bill and about to leave and the lady asked us “how was it?” I said “good” my homeboy said “ok” lol we left I asked him, “now why you tell that woman that food was ok?” he said “why you tell her it was good?”

Really great surprise to find this outstanding restaurant with traditional American food. My favorite part is they serve veggies like collard greens and green beans, and they don't ruin it with meat! Great seasoning, fresh, and ladies were very friendly and attentive. I wish we had this restaurant back in Florida.Vegetarian options: All the green vegetables have no meat. That's tough to find at this type restaurant. Lots of other sides and veggies with no meat as well. Best fried okra I've ever had.

Great place but understaffed/no management skills, had empty tables ready to be seated at and still had 20 min wait just to set down, seen a lot of people leave.......
