Been coming to Hot Springs for 30+ years and we just discovered this place! Wish we had known about it sooner! It’s fabulous!!!!! Highly recommend!!! Please advertise more so more people know about you. Your restaurant is better than any other Mexican restaurant we have been to in Hot Springs!
The food was the absolute best I’ve had not just in town but all around!! The sweet waiter, Jillian, was great! Super sweet, very thoughtful and continued to check on us!! I will definitely recommend her table every time! Very nice place to eat, they really fixed the restaurant up as well!
If you are wanting some authentic Mexican food, this place is great! Large variety of Tex-Mex as well. The cheese dip and Quetzal dip are delicious!

Recent visitors have discovered this hidden gem after many years in Hot Springs, praising it as better than any other Mexican restaurant in town. Customers appreciate the friendly service, including courteous staff who promptly replaced an appetizer that was ordered incorrectly. Sitting outside, guests enjoyed a delicious meal without issues with bugs, and the food was highly praised, especially the shrimp tacos de Camaron and a recommended chopped steak dish. The live entertainer singing added a lively touch, yet conversations remained easy. Desserts like Tres leches are highly recommended, making Quetzal a favorite Mexican spot for many visitors. This Oaxacan Mexican restaurant has delicious food, very generous portions, and the skinny margaritas were among the best. Every employee seemed to take great pride in their business. They were smiling, friendly, patient with questions and particularly attentive and accurate with orders. Quetzal had an extensive food and beverage menu and everything tried was flavorful, and was served on lovely white ceramic plates with beautiful presentation. Street tacos were 15/10 SO GOOD! The staff was friendly, the waitress kept water full. Food was served quickly. Clean restaurant + great service + great food. Great Oaxaca Mexican. Best Tlayuda in town and the extra hot sauces had good flavor. Overall, it’s a decent place to dine that deserves a visit.
