Excellent food and drinks! We came during the holidays and they had hot mulled wine on the menu (if you see it, don't skip it!!) The Pretzel is one of our favorites. We also had the deviled eggs and they were super great.

If you're looking for a slice of Bavaria, this is the place. Great Beer selection and very tasty food choices too! Location is cool... especially if the weather is nice and you can take in the Biergarten just outside.

I have been waiting to finally come eat at this restaurant since we moved to AR from Germany! I am from Germany and heard only good things about this place.
We finally went!
Now I didn’t set my expectations very high but I was deeply disappointed. The prices for food (I get the import beer) very high for not that great tasting food.
Sauerkraut was DELICIOUS I give them that!
The rest was very underwhelming. The service was not great either. When walking in we were met with very annoyed looks by the lady seating us as if we interrupted something or maybe because we had children with us. It wasn’t a welcome greeting.
The waitress was nice but extremely off, takes 2/8 drink orders, remembers something, runs off, comes back takes half of the rest then runs off again. It took forever and a forceful tone almost to get her to take our food order.

Came here for Valentine's Day, and everything was phenomenal!! Fiance had the Chicken Schnitzel Oscar while I had the Jager Schnitzel. We could not have asked for a better night. Hillary, our waitress, was a gem! We will definitely be back.

We were able to make reservations in January for Valentines night. We were a party of six on a rainy night. The food was good and different. I ordered the special cocktail and it was almost a dessert! Very nice. I also ordered the special chicken/shrimp dish. I was disappointed that I couldn’t order a regular accompaniment and had to choose from one of the 6 special ones. I really wanted the pomme frite. The meal seemed over priced but nowadays everything is. Our waiter was great, tried to be funny and very attentive. The whole restaurant lost power for a few minutes but nobody panicked and it ended up being fine. The two negatives were that it’s kinda hard to find, it’s down at the bottom and parking was hard to navigate in the pouring rain(this was only because it was a dreary night). However, the hugest turnoff was our first impression by a man standing outside the back of the kitchen smoking(white T-shirt and black apron). It was raining, we didn’t know where we were going and my husband was dropping us off(trying to get us close to the door because of the rain) and there was a loud buzzing. I loudly(because of the rain and buzzing) but kindly asked where the door was, and he hatefully screamed “NOT here!” Clearly he was not interested in helping customers find the restaurant where he worked. Then after I walked off, he continued to scream at one of our friends about not parking in the tow away zone. (Which we were not doing, only getting dropped off) Then he he came in and asked us (as we were getting seated)again if we were with the lady who was parked illegally. Even though he stood and watched us all get out of the same car. I confronted him and asked why he had been so rude and he rudely replied, “I couldn’t hear you, lady, that loud buzzing was in my ear!” Which is not an excuse for a smart ass rude reply. When we left he was out smoking again in the same place. It was very shocking that he would treat customers that way regardless of the circumstances. I genuinely hope that the owners know what type of employees they have monitoring the parking lot for illegal parking.

I wish I lived closer. We went to dinner quite late. Ordered schweinhaxe. It took awhile, but waitress kept checking and updating us. Lo and behold! The food is amazing! THE BEST SCHWEINHAXE I have ever had. I have had quite a lot of schweinhaxe including in fatherland. This is hands down the absolute best. Becareful though. It feeds 2 and more people. I brought leftover home and boy oh boy… it is still good.

As a business owner, I get it. I don't expect them to be flawless. But dang... First I had a party of 2 and they sat us at the bar with a menu and took 2.5 hours to feed us. Went 45 minutes without even getting eye contact (and there was only 3 people total at the bar). Then last night accepting our reservation and showing a confirmation by phone then we arrive and they tell you come back in 2 hours with a party of 9 and one in a wheelchair. No thanks. I respectfully told the manager that I was very disappointed and may never go back. For the owner, I recommend you fix your organization of personnel (it's either leadership, training, or lack of help) and certainly fix your reservation system so that you don't inconvenience large parties. It can be very frustrating and cause you to permanently lose patrons.

Visited here based on a recommendation from a local Hot Springs resident and we were not disappointed. The service was top notch. The food was amazing and some of the best German food we've ever had. This restaurant is a must visit if you're looking for great food, great service and a perfect atmosphere for a nice dinner.

Amazing food, brings you back to Germany. Will travel back just for the restaurant!

Wife said it was the best schweinhäxe she has ever had and that includes in Germany.

We had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience here. We waited over 75 minutes for our food, which is already unacceptable, but to make matters worse, the food arrived cold. Not lukewarm — actually cold. After waiting that long, that felt like a complete waste of our time.

What really pushed this from a bad experience to an infuriating one was how it was handled. We spoke with the manager, Jake, expecting at the very least an apology and some accountability. Instead, he told us that if he discounted our meal, he would have to charge the waitress for it. That was shocking, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. The waitress was kind, attentive, and clearly doing her best — the issue was with the kitchen and management, not her.

Blaming staff for kitchen mistakes instead of taking responsibility is terrible management. The lack of accountability and basic customer service was just as bad as the food. Waiting that long for a cold meal and then being treated like we were the problem is not okay.

We will not be returning. Customers deserve better food and far better treatment than this.

A truly authentic below-ground German restaurant with an extensive list of beers. I've been to Rathskellers in Germany, and I thought I had returned. My Wiener schnitzel was a bit dry. My partner's double pork chop was wonderfully prepared. The staff was knowledgeable, which came in handy to navigate the huge beer selections.

Food was amazing! Atmosphere is spot on for a German food restaurant. Service was excellent! Strongly recommend eating here if you find yourself near Hot Springs.
