This was the second time I have been there. The first time was a few years ago and was actually good. This time however was just a total waste of time and money. The food took well over the expected 45 minutes and was absolutely terrible. The food was a chocking hazard it was so dry and was bland when it came to the actual meat parts of the dishes. The waiter took forever to even do anything and literally kept forgetting us. We were placed on the side in a very dimly lighted part of the restaurant which was a terrible spot for my grandparents to even read the menu. My grandfather had to physically go find our waiter to get to go boxes because that man was just talking to his coworkers at the bar for 10 minutes. I highly do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The overall quality and experience are not worth the price at all.

Everything was great! My only complaint is we were seated right by the organ player and it was really loud. We could barely hear to have a conversation. The music is nice but maybe could be a little softer or have some breaks.. :)

My husband and I recently ate at Steinhaus Keller and thoroughly enjoyed our schnitzels. The ambience was perfect. My husband, who was stationed in Germany while serving in the Air Force, said the atmosphere really took him back. He also enjoyed some German beer. They have an extensive drink menu. Service was great. It takes about 45 minutes to get food once ordered, but we knew that ahead of time so it wasn't an issue. The fried potatoes and zucchini were perfect accompaniments to our meal. Will be back!

We went for a family reunion dinner, and it blew us out of the water. We sat at a smaller table of six and we decided to pass around each of our entrees and we, hands down, loved each entree we tried. The drinks were amazing, appetizers/soups above expectations, and they had a dessert for everyone. I highly recommend the beef stroganoff with potato dumplings!

I have never visited Hot Springs without an evening at Steinhaus Keller. Our last visit raised some huge flags though. Our server was both dishonest and self serving, not only trying to add his buddies' bill slyly on mine but when called on it, he removed their charge but still continued to be self serving. He showed me one receipt with no tip (I asked directly then if my tip should be cash and he said yes) while the actual receipt already gave him a hugely undeserved & self added tip. If Dylan P is your server, Customer BEWARE! For the sake of this restaurant's owners & future customers, I hope he finds employment outside the service industry!

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT EXCEPT, OUR BILL CAME TO 80.00 AND WITH TIP 118.00. THEY CHARGED OUR CARD THE $118.00 AND AN EXTRA PRE-AUTH HOLD OF $100.64. WHICH IS CRAZY YOU ALREADY CHARGED MY CARD FOR THE ACTUAL AMOUNT IT WENT THROUGH WHY THE PREAUTH AND FOR SUCH AN ODD AMOUNT. ANYWAY NEXT TIME I WILL PAY CASH BECAUSE THERE IS NO SENSE IN THE PRE-AUTH ESPECIALLY 100.00. BUT THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL AND WE WILL BE BACK...WITH CASH

An amazing spot to eat, as someone who lived in Germany, it really somewhere to eat when so far away from home. Anyone wanting to get an authentic taste of Germany will be very happy here.
Overall good experience. Food and service were good. Our server got a little confused at times but we had a large party. The chef even came out to discuss the cook of the steak which was appreciated. We'd recommend to others.

First time eating at this Hot Springs icon. Atmosphere is quaint, located in the cellar of an old building with rock walls, but it fits the ambiance perfectly. Michelle, our server, was very attentive (until trying to get the check, but she was involved in taking orders of a party of 10) and knowledgeable. I had the Veal Jager Schnitzel, cooked perfectly with a yummy mushroom sauce, my date had the Chicken Kiev. Both outstanding, as well as the beer selection. Will definitely make this a regular place.
