Hands down the best BBQ in Arkansas. Incredible smoked meats, great sides, and consistently friendly service make Stubbyโs Bar-B-Q a must-stop every time youโre in Hot Springs.

This is some good smoked meat. The price seems a little high. The bean/meat pots are great

Absolute top notch BBQ - Larry and the team are doing an amazing job serving up some quality Southern BBQ. The Super platter, with an added potato, had 5 of us more than satisfied - Larry even hooked us up with pickles/onions, butter for our potato, and some extra spicy sauce. The Brisket tenderness and super moist Half Chicken stole the show, with a beutifull peach cobbler desert, we are sure to be back foe more! One of the waitresses even offered to help take our photo! On top of all that, this place is clean and has a beutifull esthetic with its rustic decor.

They gave you a great size portion, but the beans was plain, taste like they came right of the can. The meat has a funny smell. I couldnโt eat it. The lady was really nice, the menu doesnโt give any details, so we thought we was ordering off the menu but when we got ready to pay it was a lot higher. But the lady was really nice in helping us. First time there and last time. Food just wasnโt good!

If I could rate this place 10 stars I would! Most Amazing smokey rich flavored bbq. And the portions were jaw dropping! Then talking to two of the most gracious sweet lovely people was absolutely a joy to experience. Try everything you can and I can guarantee that you will enjoy it and have leftovers too! The beef ribs was do tender, the brisket super moist, the stuffed baked potatoes was all in one outstanding meal and dont forget to get some great cobbler to take home for dessert ๐. We will definitely be back all the way from Colorado!

Ribs are small with very little meat and the pulled pork was dry, to me, not worth what it costs. But absolutely the best sauce anywhere

This is cafeteria style bbq. That said, you get a tray and tell them what you want on it. My husband and I opted for the meat combo for two with our sides being potato salad and baked beans with two pink lemonades to drink and a side of cobbler for a sweet treat. Iโll rank the items from highest to lowest as follows:
5/5 hospitality- everyone in the establishment was welcoming and the lady at the front was very accommodating when we asked for extra side fixings for our meal. Not to mention, the atmosphere is well decorated and made me feel as if I was at home.
5/5 baked beans- these were likely out of a can (correct me if Iโm wrong Stubbyโs), but the flavor and texture were just perfect to pair with BBQ
2/5 Bbq itself - although the portions of meat were great and tender, they lacked flavor tremendously. The sauce is in fact very sweet, even for me as someone who LOVES a honey bbq sauce. It would compare to Kansas style Q. If thatโs your thing.. great, but I prefer meat whose flavor is enhanced by BBQ rather than relying on it for a flavor profile. That said, thereโs little to no paprika, salt, onion powder or garlic here.
2/5 potato salad- As a Texan, potato salad regardless of white or yellow usually has some tang and a little sweetness so it was my suprise when my bbq was sweeter than my potato salad. However, they were sure to add diced onions, celery, salt, and pepper which added flavor and texture. Speaking of, the texture was spot on. Nonetheless, the flavor was not meeting expectation even after adding their sweet bbq sauce on and a little mustard to give it some tang. I still couldnโt l consume more than 3 spoonfuls.
0/5 peach cobbler- Where I come from peach cobbler consists of peaches (canned or fresh) cooked in butter, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon topped with pie crust thatโs sprinkled with a sugar/ cinnamon mixture. What I received was at best a vanilla cake with two canned peach slices topped with peach syrup. I knew I was in trouble when I opened the lid and there was ZERO smell. Thatโs right. NO SPICES IN SIGHT. Peach cobbler is usually fragrant and rich both in spirit and diabetes so to say I was confused by this dish was an understatement.
Overall, this is an okay attempt at BBQ. I simply wished that the comforting hospitality I received during my dining experience matched the flavors on my plate. For $54, I wasnโt mad, just rather disappointed. I hope the business knows I mean no malice or harm. I only believe in honest and constructive criticism.
