We ate at the Bourbon Bar and the bartender provided great service even though he was super busy. The food was delicious (steak with Boursin cheese and polenta - a specialty of the restaurant). The restaurant has some pretty strict policies (like taking a credit card to make a reservation and only a 10 minute grace period), but we knew that when we reserved and complied. The prices seemed on the high side ($75 for an 8 oz steak) but again, we knew that going in. So, we got the check, put down our credit card and when it was time to sign, we found that there was a 3.5% charge to use our credit or debit card. We were not aware of this extra charge and after all the other rules and the price of dinner, it seemed over the top. We frequently dine at very nice restaurants and have never been charged to use a credit card. Perhaps if we had to give our card to reserve (with a charge if we cancelled) OR if the meal had been more reasonably priced OR they charged a fee for using a card and it had been disclosed before we paid, we would have felt better about the experience.

Our food was delicious! My husband got the Tuna. He said it was his top five Tuna entrees. I had the filet Oscar style and it was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and the crab was very fresh. He had a dark chocolate dessert and said it was great. I had the salted caramel crème brûlée and it was sooo good. Highly recommend,

I have visited 501 Prime on numerous occasions and typically have found the service, food, atmosphere and overall experience to be great. This past visit was not bad, just presented some frustration. Wednesday nights are oyster nights, so I made a reservation which requires a credit card to hold. Ok. Grilled oysters not included in the promotion, just fresh, raw oysters. Ok. I had grilled oysters previously and they were included in the promotion, but hey. They have also changed their cooking method which is baked, with a crumb topping which was ok, but had way too much tabasco sauce for my preference. It overwhelmed the oysters. Additionally, they used to serve grilled French bread with the oysters, but do not at this time. I had to ask for crackers. The thing that really irks me is that they now charge a 3 1/2% fee for credit card usage indicating the cost goes to cover employee health insurance. So, my thoughts are well that's part of business ownership and maintaining good employees and if I pay in cash, will it impact them getting health insurance? I paid with credit card this time and included a 20% tip; however, next time I may reduce my tip since I'm already supplementing their health insurance by using my credit card. Bottom line, this is really petty, and you might figure out a way to carry these functions without being so off-putting to the customer.

Best in Hot Springs. Best steaks. Great and attentive service. Great bourbon selection. Creative cocktails upon request. A must stop for us each and every time we are in Hot Springs.

I have to say this was an awesome place..our service by Chris and Michael was outstanding. They were very knowledgeable, professional and yet entertaining...definitely a5star across the board.

The only part of this meal that was better than the food was the service. Very attentive yet not intrusive. The pork chop was melt in your mouth exquisite and the sides of Brussel sprouts and potatoes were delicious. I cleaned my plate. My wife had a perfectly cooked filet which she said was exceptional. Overall a very pleasant dinner out.

We had a wonderful time here. We were in town for the weekend but would totally drive from Sherwood for a date night. Bartender was amazing ? Food was out of this world! Can't wait to try different things next time!

For an à la cart steakhouse the ambiance and level of service were lacking. It was basically a sports bar. My wife's steak was overcooked and my steak while cooked properly, lacked salt and pepper. The steak was good, but definitely not worth $68. They were also unable to substitute any sides. They had roasted carrots as a side on another dish but not as an à la cart side. They could not accommodate our request to substitute. We would have been better off going to a Texas Roadhouse or something like that. Save your money, and go someplace else.

Our reservation was later on Saturday night and many of the items on the menu were no longer available. The server was great and did a great job explaining about all the items that were out. I got the kabob and shrimp. One of the pieces of filet was extremely tough with gristle. We've eaten here often over the years and had many pleasant experiences. My bill, including tip and tax was over $400. I expect excellence for that and did not get it on this trip.

Our table was ready when we arrived. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the options on the menu and very friendly. She answered all our questions and checked on our table often. Food was very good.

I am writing for my group of 6. Those of us that had the double pork chop, 20 oz Ribeye and Petit filet give every category 5 stars,, the members that selected other items had reservation about taste or cost. $76 for a steak is a top tier price but when I walked in the restaurant, the smell was beyond inviting and immediately made me hungry. Julie and staff took great care of us and the owner made several visits to our table, so the attention made us feel that our happiness with our visit was important. I am a fledgling Bourbon drinker, so the menu for Bourbon was both amazing and overwhelming, but when at a Restaurant with a Bourbon bar, selecting a beverage was essential. Our group was split so I would have selected a 4.5 instead of 4, but the experience for me was a 5. Yes, it was pricey but there is more at play than simply the food. To get great service for 6 people with varied needs and interest is a challenge and 501 Prime will absolutely be on my return trip.

Our meal was outstanding. The halibut special was one of the best we've ever had. We were very disappointed, though, that we felt rushed through our meal in order to turn tables quickly.

I had high expectations of this place have chose for a special occasion. However, it left me pensive. Priced very high end. Required credit card to make the reservation. Seemed exclusive. What I experienced was a regular steak house no better than Texas Roadhouse but Ruth's Chris prices. Not impressed. It had redeeming qualities however. The wait staff made me feel valued and were attentive. The Bourbon bar beckoned due to their choices. The food was cooked as per request and tasted good. Was not pretentious. But I ordered surf and turf billed as a 5oz Filet with shrimp. I got 3 shrimp 16-20 size and my steak was cut into cubes and put on a skewer......Who does that?
