I hate to even post a review because I really can’t comment fairly on the food since we never ate anything. I guess it’s our mistake to think we could have a nice sit down meal on a Friday night during spring break weekend but this place obviously is not fully prepared for this type of crowd! We waited for 2 hours for a table and were never seated. Finally we just decided to leave. We did sit at the bar during this time and have drinks. That part was nice and we got to visit with family for a while which is why I am going to go ahead and give it a 3 star review. I think this place should seriously consider making reservations especially on weekends because there are too many people that show up to eat and they are not prepared for it. I felt so bad for the young kids working there and I hope the kid that walked out can find another job!(Adding a response)OK, good!! I’m glad he didn’t walk out! We were just going by what we were told. I hope to be back sometime. I never give up on a place just because of one bad experience….any one at anytime can have a bad night!

We moved here from Texas last year and have been searching for great crawfish..so glad we have found our new spot! The atmosphere and customer service were both welcoming & wonderful. The crawfish tails, homemade fries, gumbo and boiled crawfish//shrimp…large portions and all absolutely DELICIOUS! The entire experience exceeded our expectations and we will be back.

The new remodel looks nice and the people are friendly. It gets really crowded here so I’m not sure my opinion counts for much, but anyway.. I placed a to-go order with the fish and chips and a beer at the bar. At $4.50 a pint I thought the beer was a little expensive- and it had a funny taste to it. About 15 minutes later my beer was gone and I gave my seat up for a young couple who needed a place to sit, then I waited in the pool table area for another 40 minutes before I finally asked if my order was ready. One waitress was shocked I had waited so long and she found my order behind the bar - ' that had been sitting there for long awhile and had gone cold. She was nice waitress who gave me some free desert for my trouble.Other Thoughts:-I thought the ceiling light were too bright inside, they should put them on a dimmer switch-The Dart board hung to low , and there in no line to stand behind.-Don’t place a to-go order at the bar-The place was packed , while the other side was empty. They should put up a room divider on the other side to open up more seating.See you next time :-)

The service was awful, the waitress barley waited on us she was more worried about the big table she had where obviously cared about her guests there. Meanwhile I never received order red drinks. Food served before the appetizers. Overcharged for items I never received. I had to ask an another waitress for some water at least so I could actually eat my meal.

Was trying to call a to go order and was sent to there automated system states if we don't answer this call please come in to order. Went to the restaurant. Asked the lady in the front where can I place a to go order. " good luck finding someone to take your order." Was skipped many times. Hate that was one of my favorite places to go eat.

It is our favorite place to eat on the area. We take everyone that comes to visit us to this restaurant and they all comment about how great the food is. We were able to meet the owners and loved them. We have been there several times already and will be back many more!

I love this place. We live in Dallas but have a lake house in town. We come to Ward's whenever we are in town. The food is always good. The crawfish chowder is the best I have ever had. Their steamed platters are consistently delicious.

Wards is outside of Hot Springs and in an area you wouldn't suspect would have a restaurant. It's definitely worth the trip if you want good Louisiana Cajun cuisine. They import fresh fish and seafood. Great catfish and unique fried sides and appetizers. The service was excellent. Has a good kids menu. It's out of the way, but well worth it.
