Comin from new orleans im automatically looking for some good food! THE STARS HAVE ALIGNED WITH ME AND I FOUND A GEM. When i initially passed this restaurant i knew it had to be good. So i went in. Wholeb old school diner feel thats full of regulars from the community. I got the Salisbury steak, a cheeseburger and banana pudding for 26 bucks. Sides and drinks. Ya cant find that anywhere really. The food was amazing. Fell asleep after i was done eating..... prolly will go back...
Second time eating here. Both were orders to go. Place appears clean and staff are attentive and polite. Had burgers, fish plates, onion rings, fries and desserts. Everything was fresh and very good. Only thing I had that was less than very good was the Gyros. The pita bread, veggies and sauce were good but I wasn't a fan of the texture and flavor profile of the meat. Suggest they consider a different Gyros meat supplier. Would recommend Gee Street Kitchen to anyone.
On a 12 hour drive home I looked for a place to eat with good reviews and it brought us to Gee Street Kitchen. It did not disappoint! I ordered the philly cheese steak combo and my husband and son both got the gyro combo. So delish! And the price was right! The owners were very friendly! Overall, a great experience! We will definitely stop in again when we get down that way!
