“This is consistently our favorite Japanese restaurant in town. Their hibachi is good, their noodles are very tasty, the sushi is always good. They have the best spicy tuna in town, and even have a fried version. We are always pleased with our order, and the staff is great. The two guys that work there bust their butts and are great to deal with. Awesome local spot, and our go to for a good Japanese meal.”

“I travel often, away from my wife and son. I dont write reviews often but I am compelled to write this one. I ordered a steak with loaded baked potatato, caesars salad, and a strawberry and cream dessert.

The steak was cooked and seasoned PERFECTLY!
The caeser salad was scrumptious!
The strawberry cream dessert was delicious!
Even the baked potato and bread was phenomenal!

“My family and I stopped at this restaurant. Wanted a good steak and this place was recommended by the hotel we stayed in. Atmosphere is nice, so many seating options. “This is absolutely the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Jonesboro. It is right out of the barrio just west of ASU. Non-pretencious, 100% Abuelitas cooking here. I like the sopes la lingua and the Pizole, which is served traditionally. They are so traditional, and true to their region that they mostly don't have chips and tomato-based salsa, but they will give you fried tortilla's and two amazing salsas, one is avocado based, and the other is very hot chile based on Chile de Arbol (aka Seco) I think? Fabulous working class place, wonderful. Helps if you speak Spanish, but not necessary. It is closed on Tuesdays. . .”

“I give their food a 3 star bc I have been here 3 times in about 4 months time and every time my steak is messed up. The first time I ordered Fillet and it was their basic steak cut. They said bc Sumos were remodeling and they have some of their cooks and they didnt know. The second time same thing. Today I went ordered a medium fillet and it was a fillet mignon but it was chewy and well done. Everything is great. Service and sushi and sides I guess I shouldn't order steak anymore 😕”

My husband took a bite of his chicken which after chewing it for a bit he discovered something sharp and hard, he managed to take the food out of his mouth to find a piece of glass or plastic. We of course stopped eating our food due to being worried there would be more pieces, i decided to email them as i would figure it would be handled within a timely manner considering they were packed when we picked up our food. Its been a few days and i have yet to get a response back from them. I sent a follow up email today so I am hoping this is resolved soon.”

“These are the nastiest wings I ever had in my life, I ordered a 16 piece lemon pepper hot wing and they sent one order of bland hot wings with curly frys and a order of no flavor tasteless wings with cury frys I did not know chicken could be so bland and nasty. we didn't even eat them they're just sitting there, we did not even have dinner because it was so bad.”

“While traveling near Jonesboro, Arkansas we wanted a local restaurant for lunch. We found Chef’s In and decided to give it a try. The staff were friendly and helpful. The other customers were so welcoming, especially when they realized we were not from Jonesboro but just passing through. “My wife and I had lunch at Que49 Smokehouse in Jonesboro. It is the kind of place that instantly jumps into your “must-visit” list if you love real BBQ. All of their sauces are great - Original, Hot Willie’s, Vinegar Sauce, and Cranberry Cayenne. I started with the “Ultimate Reuben” and it absolutely lives up to its name! Rich, smoky beef and pork belly pastrami piled high with tangy sauerkraut, melty Swiss, and Russian dressing on perfectly toasted marbled rye. It’s the kind of sandwich you plan future visits around! The Burnt Ends were textbook - tender, caramelized, and deeply smoky without being overly sweet. The Tri-Tip Sirloin was equally impressive - juicy, sliced just right, and seasoned to let the beef shine instead of hiding it under sauce. (It was a bit too chewy for my wife but I thought it was perfect!) My wife loved the Que Fries with pulled pork. Crinkle cut fries smothered in house-made cheese sauce, baked beans, green onions, and jalapeños, then topped with that beautifully smoked pork. It’s over-the-top in the best possible way, like BBQ nachos leveled up. A big part of what makes Que49 special is the pedigree behind it. Owner Skip Steele is true BBQ royalty! He’s the former pitmaster and patriarch of Pappy’s Smokehouse, Bogart’s Smokehouse, and Dalie’s Smokehouse in St. Louis, all consistently ranked among the very best BBQ spots in America. You can taste that experience and attention to detail in every bite here. Jonesboro is incredibly lucky to have Que49 Smokehouse. If you’re anywhere nearby and you care about great barbecue, this place is absolutely worth the trip.”

“I do recommend Andy's but that does not mean they are perfect. Yesterday, by JHS in Jonesboro was a bad visit. First, when I got to the window and gave the guy my 'rewards number' he became obviously annoyed and it was very clear to both my wife and I that was the case. Second, it was mixed very poorly. 90% of the caramel in my concrete was in the last 10% of the product. Most of my treat was vanilla custard with a few pecans. My wife's banana split was excellent she said. OK, one bad experience out of more than a dozen. I guess that's good overall.”

The only real critique I have is that the menus use AI generated images which don't really do a good job of illustrating what you get, it honestly made me a little grossed out looking at them and not just out of principle at the use of AI. There were lots of people coming and going, I get the feeling that takeout/carryout is more popular than dining in but I certainly didn't feel unwelcome.”

“I have eaten at this sandwich shop multiple times and it has always been good. They have a nice variety of sandwiches, even some seasonal ones, and they always load them with meats. The sandwiches are always fresh and I have never had an issue with my orders. Ordering online or using the app allows some deals and you earn points toward free stuff plus you can order ahead and it's ready when you arrive. It can be a bit pricey but outside that it's good.”

“Stopped by this Starbucks location inside the Kroger Marketplace. I like that they have a machine which freshly grinds beans so they are rarely out of different roasts of coffee like typical locations. They have the full menu that other Starbucks locations, including food. You can use the app to order ahead and pay too. This location does not have a drive-thru so you will need to go in to pick up any orders. Good and convenient coffee shop.”

“Wandered around Jonesboro looking for something to satiate a spine-eating hunger. All I saw was chain food that would leave me hungry again 20 minutes, Mexican food, and a barren, tumbleweed strown avenue that faintly played the whistle heard in every Western shown. Out of the gloom and haze of chain signs that seemed to vye for the attention of every passerby with bright coloring and slightly insane lettering, a simple display reading 1812 Pizza Co caught my eye.

After walking in and being greeted with a friendly smile, clean tables, and a warm, almost angelic sound, I knew this was the place to spend my hard-earned dollar. I ordered a calzone thinking it would be a simple meal for a simple traveller, I was mistaken. This thing was the size of a dinner plate and, once broken into, busting at the seams.

I will be back once I recover from my food coma.”

“Visited Ron’s Catfish in Jonesboro, Arkansas on April 12 right when it opened for the day. The food was hot and delicious. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Ron’s has all type of food like frog legs, shrimp, catfish, steak, crawfish and sides include Cole slaw, French fries greens, peas, creamed potato’s mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese. The desserts were plentiful to please your sweet tooth. It is all you can eat so don’t be afraid to get a seconds or thirds or fourths. So if you are in Jonesboro hit up Ron’s this is a must visit for the whole state”

“Food was amazing. My Grilled White fish blackened, was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Broccoli cheese casserole was great. My husband's steak was a perfect medium rare. The Queso fries were really good, so was the Wisconsin cheese bites. We ordered the Pain Killer it was really strong but also tasted amazing. We totally understand why they have a limit of 2 per person. Our server was super sweet. Our only complaint would be about the pacing. Everything came out so fast our table was covered. So definitely wait to let them know what your main meal order is going to be. Over all we'd give them a 9.5 out of 10. Definitely going back.”
