Okay so I have never done this before but my husband and I ate at Ichiya Ramen last night. We began eating our meal and i noticed my calamari smelled heavily of ammonia so I went to take a drink of my water and noticed something moved and thank god I noticed. Inside my cup looked like someone had shredded tissue paper and watered down mashed potatoes with little white, green, and black pieces. I brought this to the attention of one of the staff and he told me it’s “because the ice machine is down.” Which makes no sense because there was ice in my cup. I told him it looks like food is floating around because the pieces were green, black, and like white wet tissue paper floating around. (Probably mold) He again just reiterated that it was just “because the ice machine is down.” I feel sick to my stomach this morning because we ate before I even noticed my cup and god only knows what my food had in it. Just thought I’d put out a PSA for anyone wanting to try Ichiya Ramen in Jonesboro. On an additional side note, the previous two times we have eaten there I had severe abdominal cramps and vomitted soon after but I assumed it was just because I had a stomach bug or something. I’m beginning to think their cleanliness is just not good and could be making people sick.

I ordered some ramen to go based off of the reviews/pictures I saw online. Apparently the ramen I ordered was from their old menu. The current menu allows you to your own ingredients. I didn’t really want to think too much about the options, so it was nice that they are willing to make items from their old menu. Overall the ramen was very bland. I wouldn’t order that meal again but I would consider ordering other options. Also, I wouldn’t normally complain about large portions but the broth container was way too full. When i opened it a good amount spilled in my lap. Thankfully it wasn’t that hot. The restaurant was also pretty smoky on the inside. I’m not sure if that is a regular thing or not.
Excellent service and Delicious food...
Jonesboro people should try this one of a kind,
Thanks
My first experience and it passed my test of great taste and server delivery kind and giving us our desired meal and were satisfied. The atmosphere was cute and friendly folks. I loved the designs on the walls and in the ceiling. Overall. Awesome 👍
Overall the ramen is good, the service is good, but the atmosphere is not the best.
Best. Ramen. In Arkansas.
This used to be my favorite ramen place in town but since it moved location it's simply not the same at all. It doesn't offer any of the ramen bowls options it used to, you have to do a create your own, which doesn't even come with the toppings of the original. I ordered sushi when I went with my sisters and they were finished eating by the time my food came out and we had mine togo because we had other places to be that were imminently closing, but still it was altogether really disappointing to see, they were also out of boba, which is understandable but also dissapointing
The music didn’t suit the theme of the restaurant; it was too mellow. The food was delicious, I had the chicken fried rice. I recommend it!!! Definitely would come back
The taste of the food was spot on, but my pork Katsu was severely overcooked and was very dry and hard.
Restaurantji Recommends
combination spicy fried rice so good my mama got smacked!
The food was wonderful!
Best fried rice I've ever eaten!!! I drive all the way from Blytheville to get it!🤤
Food was great and service was fast.
Best ramen and katsu in town! Great, friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere. On top of that, their prices are more than reasonable. Literally my favorite place in Jonesboro, highly recommend.
