Walking in, this restaurant is unassuming. It isn't lavishly decorated by any means. It's simple-looking, but don't assume the food will be as mediocre as the interior design.
The food at Ichiya Asian Bistro is awesome! Three of us dined between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday. There were a few other customers and some kids. They have a decent kids menu, but I was there for Teriyaki Chicken fried rice. The others in my party ordered Seafood fried rice with pork egg rolls (one of which I swiped as soon as he bit into that deliciously crispy roll of goodness), and Chicken Katsu with a pork broth Ramen. They were sooo good!
I was pleased to see a large vegan substitution menu, because sometimes I pretend to be one.
Our server was very attentive and patient.
The prices were reasonable. We're definitely coming back.

My friends and family went to their new location the other day as we loved their old location so much. Their new location is definitely a lot more spacious than their old location, but I will say I wish they had changed the vibe of their location since they moved. It felt as though I was eating in the same restaurant, and I was hoping for something new. Regardless, we sat down and ordered. I typically would order the ramen, but since this was a new location, I ordered the bento box and my friend ordered her usual order, or at least tried. My friend typically likes to eat vegetarian when we go out, but they were out of the kale noodles, which was disappointing. My other friend tried to order the oxtail soup, but they were also out of that. I landed on the tonkatsu(Pork Katsu) bento box. I wish their options for the bento box allowed for more vegetables like a typical bento box, but I ordered what options I had: one dumpling, one spring roll, a side of fried rice, noodles, and of course the tonkatsu. When our food arrived, my friend was glad that this time they give you a whole egg rather than a half. My food was good, for the most part. It was very carb heavy, so I wasn't able to finish the noodles. The tonkatsu was also quite thin for typical katsu, but the crunch and the sauce paired well together. Overall, still the typical Ichiya and still enjoyable
Vegetarian options: When we visited, they were out of the kale noodles, leaving my friend to order the regular noodles. I think they should keep up with their stock so everyone who goes in to enjoy their food actually can.

So so good. I’ve always loved this place, and the new location and menu are just perfect. Crab rangoons just got added to the menu and they are phenomenal!! Their fried rice is easily the best in town; flavor, price, and portion wise. The ramen is delicious too! So many good options and prices are actually so good for how much food you get.
Whether you’re a local or visiting, definitely plan to check this place out. :)

Ichiya Ramen is an amazing place to eat in Jonesboro. From the Crab rangoon to the mochi ice cream, Ichiya Ramen is not only a good place to eat, but a reason to go to Jonesboro to try. I would definitely recommend anybody to try Ichiya ramen if you haven’t already!

I ate there yesterday with my family to check out their new location because we were fans of the old one, and they did not disappoint! They extended the variety of their menu but my personal favorite is the Chicken Katsu Ramen. They give a big portion on the Chicken Katsu itself and the broth was delicious, and the owner was very attentive and kind to us. Definitely will be coming back soon!

Went on a work lunch and was not let down. It was comparable to top ramen restaurants in Little Rock. If you're in the area check it out just make sure you account for limited parking on the streets.
