Heading home on a Monday night during our anniversary road trip to the Rockies, my wife and I had to reroute through Jonesboro, AR to pick up a debit card left earlier in Memphis and needed to stop for dinner before everything closed. We found Omar's Uptown on Travel Advisor. It was a great surprise to have such a great dining experience essentially by accident. The cocktails were excellent, the wine list was limited but good, the salad and entrees were perfect, and the made-in- house key lime pie was among the best I've had. Our waiter, Judd, made our dining experience even better. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about each dish and its preparation. All in all, Omar's and Judd provided the best dining experience of our vacation/ celebration. We highly recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in the area. We may include it when planning future travel.

We had a reservation on a Saturday evening for 9 to celebrate a special occasion. We were seated at a beautiful table near the front of the restaurant. The tables have white table cloths, gorgeous artwork throughout the restaurant, perfect noise level and wonderful ambiance. Our server Ashley was so professional, so sweet and attentive and gave excellent service! We had delicious appetizers, great drinks and the meals were amazing!! Everyone loved their dinners! The owner, Omar was so kind to stop at our table and welcome us! He made us a special dessert which was absolutely delicious and so thoughtful!! The hostess was so nice and came outside to take pictures for us. We had the most perfect evening in the BEST restaurant in Jonesboro! Highly recommend for date night, special occasions or for the best food in town!! We can’t wait to go back!

I love discovering small-town restaurants that genuinely surprise me. The food is fantastic! You should definitely try the portobello mushroom appetizer. The steak better than any at Ruth's Chris. I'll make sure to stop by next time I pass through.

I wasn’t going to make a review and just leave it to bad experience but after the clear communication that Omar himself was cooking and we came to Golden Corral the next night and the steak here topped that by ten folds. Wasted $150 on steaks I could have paid $45 for and got what ever I wanted. In my books that’s a win for Golden Corral and I won’t step foot back in Omar’s.
Great spot has went down hill badly. At least that’s wht this visit was. Took my fiancé to a well known steak place paid $54 for my ny strip plate and $64 for her ribeye plate.
Sent hers back twice and still was wrongly cooked. One side was done while one side was raw on all three ribeyes. My ny strip was too tuff to eat. Was cooked correctly just had to use a lot of elbow grease. Her first ribeye looked the prettiest with a perfect sear while it was rushed off the grill. The second one was what I still would say was boiled then seared. It had absolutely no flavor. The third tasted like I should have just got up and left and not wasted their time.
The waiter seemed too busy for us since all we were drinking was soda with our entree. I asked for a check and the other waiter looked at ours and was like should we charge them. I paid my dues but it’s bad when the waiter couldn’t even look you in the eye while paying the tab.

A very great place to eat the food is just amazing. Service is outstanding a very quiet romantic place to eat. The Filet Mignon is just mouth watering delicious!
We were celebrating a graduation at Arkansas State. Service was the best ever. It was perfect. Everyone's food arrive beautifully prepared except the family member that ordered the "Black & Bleu." The Server specifically asked if she wanted her steak pink throughout and the response was YES. Her steak was 100% grey and arrived several minutes after the rest of the family's meals.

The food is decent. the service was fine. However, 4% was added to the check for paying with a credit card. this is not OK and we will never return to this place. Clue: Raise the prices a little and offer a discount for cash. Furthermore, we were charged 15% "sales tax" for the entire check. Ridiculous!
