We are from Joplin, MO, and came to visit family and take time off for my wife's birthday. The family had to work but recommended Whistle Stop. We drove over for breakfast and are so glad we did. Very tasty. The daily "blue plate" type special is a good value-- entrée, two sides, and cornbread or Texas toast for under 10 bucks. Staff is super friendly and the location is homey and very clean.
