The salad bar was one of the best I've ever had. All of the salads were made fresh & there were a lot of toppings for lettuce & their dressings. The Server recommended the Gastonburger (?) it came w cheese, bacon, fried onion ring, avocado slice, and pickle. It was fabulous. In addition to the great food, the view of the river from our table was delightful. After lunch we crossed the road to visit the peacocks.
We were there on a Wed evening and it was reasonably busy. Very very nice atmosphere and view is spectacular. Super cool antiques FILLED the entire place. Great salad bar, and grilled trout. My husband had the sautéed shrimp and it fell short on flavor.
This restaurant was open on a Monday! It has a funky interior like the old Crackle Barrels had, but on steroids! \n\nWe had the specials for the night which were priced appropriately and delicious. One of the specials was elk! It's one of the few restaurants that still sport a salad bar (and a super one at that)! The main entree menu offered all kinds of proteins or vegetarian options.
