Though I remember when Park Plaza was built, it seems to have been there … forever. It's a fixture for many people living in the Hillcrest and Heights areas and the neighborhoods west of there along Markham. . . Our last visit to Park Plaza was on Black Friday a few days ago. We had guests from Germany staying with us, and they wanted to explore Black Friday sales — so we took them to Dillard's, the flagship store of Park Plaza, and a Little Rock-based company.....
Nice basic mall with some good stores, e.g., Dillard's, Oakley, etc., plenty of parking even though its mid-city. Food Court. Oddly, the Dillard's is split into two stores (one being the old Blass store). Fun fact: the mall opened as an open-air shopping center in 1960.
This might be an old mall but it's a good one. Maybe the outside could stand for a little 'pick me up' renovation.... the lower level food court had come a long way since the last time I visited. Good selection of eats and treats. Pretty good variety of stores upstairs too. Parking is tight on busy days too!!
