Walked by El Sur this afternoon for the first time while visiting some shops in SOMA and decided to stop in for lunch. Great local beer selection and wonderful staff. The space was much larger than it seems from the outside and was clean, comfortable, and queer-friendly! My partner and I ordered the fried plantains (they were particularly fantastic), con todo with cauliflower chorizo, and bean and cheese pupusas. Great vegan/vegetarian options and can't wait to go back.

Food is So Good. Vibrant flavors and the food is beautiful. The beef is braised until it’s tender and succulent. Cocktails are delicious. All the ingredients are fresh and seasoned perfectly!

Excellent street food restaurant with a casual, welcoming atmosphere and a strong local reputation. The food seems fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, with a menu that feels great for lunch, dinner, or takeout. Prices are reasonable, service is usually friendly, and the place has a fun local feel. A solid choice when you want tasty, casual food with good value and a relaxed dining experience.

The papusas are a good size! And you cant really tell from the photos but if you get the fried plantains there are a lot and they aren't little either, so that was a nice surprise!

Good Honduran food, especially the sides: plantains with crema, yucca fries. Everything is very rich. The pupusas are loaded with so much cheese. They are very filling. Tacos are good. Not a fan of the arepas. Cocktails are very good. Back room has games: ping pong, fusbol. Great place for big groups and fun on trivia night (Thurs at 7).
