Having moved from California to Arkansas, I was about 7. HB’s was the first bbq sandwich I ever ate, soon after they opened. I’d go with Dad to pick them up. I can still here Mr. Slaughter chopping up the meat in the back room. We’d drive home to eat them with sides that mom made. The juice soaked through the plain brown bag by the time we got there. The taste was the most remarkable flavors I’d ever experienced. That peppery sauce! Moved away and haven’t had one in...
Love this BBQ .. know this family all my life .. I think they have the best BBQ .. Love them .. they are hard working kind people .. they may be closing soon .. hope not but I will hold the same opinion no matter what .. ☺️
absolutely loved this placed! was visiting family and needed some good bbq. H.B.'s did not disappoint. jumbo pulled pork sandwich with the cabbage was delicious. before i knew it, i had eaten the entire thing, and was wanting another one. if you have the time, totally worth the wait for the fruit filled turnovers. will go back the next time in town. thanks everyone!
