My husband and I arrived at Taco and Tamale Co in the Heights as we were scouting for places to eat and ended up sitting at the bar for amazing service. The restaurant was packed, yet we still received excellent service. We placed a to go order for our main course food and had cheese dip and chips during the wait.

Ordered my mom nachos. She’s in the hospital. They did not put anything on it. I mean besides cheese and a dollop of sour cream/guac it came with nothing else. I don’t get these kind of stupid mistakes!!
Beautiful restaurant I had the Plato 1947 the cheese enchilada was fantastic the rice was delicious the tamales was a bit dry I didn’t care for the pinto beans too much of a smoky taste the guacamole tostada was good the beef taco was dry I also tried the melting pot cheese dip it was amazing as was the jalapeño onion dip the tomato marmalade dip and the green hatch chili salsa was my favorite the margarita was pretty good as well the only downside was a table of 11 women and...
