Everything was delicious. The soaked salad has just the right amount of dressing. The hush puppies were light and crunchy. The grilled snapper was seasoned perfectly. The breading on the fried shrimp and calamari was crunchy, not thick and heavy, allowing flavor of fish to come through. Service was friendly and quick.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the parking lot just outside the entrance. There tables to accommodate seating access. Aisles were easy to navigate.

The food here is great, seriously can’t go wrong with anything they have. The vibe and atmosphere is legitimately terrible. If i’m eating there I usually want to leave immediately. I usually opt for take out, the atmosphere is so bad my friends, family, and I will usually not go there if we are going out to eat. Not because of the food, the food is great. But the vibe is whack. If they would just update the restaurant and give it a better atmosphere it would seriously improve the restaurant. So overall, great food, terrible vibe.

I can't say a lot about the service, because this isn't a place where a waitress takes your order at the table. But the food was hot and tasted wonderful, and the beer was cold. We had an excellent time while there, so that's a win in my dinner requirements. Small place, with a hole-in-the-wall atmosphere.

Parking: I'm sure there are times when parking might be limited.

This is my go-to place for catfish! It never tastes fishy and is always cooked to perfection. Fries and coleslaw are awesome. If you want to skip the fries, they have grilled veggies as an alternative. The wings are exceptional as well. Love this place!

On November 16, 2024, I visited Lazy Pete's after a trip to the neighboring salon. I usually enjoy dining in the area and was looking forward to some fresh fish. After selecting the 2-Meat Combo, which came with fries, hushpuppies, and coleslaw for just over $21, I was initially pleased. However, upon opening my meal, I became disappointed. The fish appeared dark and had a strong, off-putting fishy odor. The shrimp seemed stale, lacking the fluffy and juicy texture expected from freshly fried shrimp.
Reluctant to return the food because I typically avoid remakes, I decided to go back due to encouragement from my mother. Upon expressing my concerns to the staff, I was informed that neither a refund nor a remake of my order would be provided. This response left me confused, as I believe that dissatisfied customers should be offered a solution. Even one of the kitchen staff acknowledged that the fish didn't look good, yet the young men at the counter refused further service or any form of accommodation. When I requested an alternative meal, I was told that nothing could be done.
To escalate my concerns, I asked for the owner's contact information. The young man reluctantly provided it in a manner that felt dismissive and unprofessional, without offering any apology. When I attempted to reach the owner, it appeared the employee might have contacted them beforehand, as my call was not answered.
Unfortunately, I was left with a disappointing meal and no resolution. For diners less particular about their fish, this establishment might suffice. However, based on my experience, customer service fell significantly short. I truly hope the business will invest in training their staff to ensure every customer interaction reflects the quality and care the establishment aspires to deliver.

I had the 3 fried catfish platter with fries and cole slaw - really great fried catfish - corn meal based coating tastes just like it does in New Orleans (my home turf.) Wife had chicken sausage gumbo which had a nice dark roux. Overall very satisifed - will be back!!

It's large servings of perfectly cooked fried seafood. Our fave is the crawfish basket. Yum!!!
