I'm not sure why but I've had very bad luck with this establishment. I stopped going to a different Newks due to a bad experience and decided to give this one a try. As soon as I spoke to the cashier (who was the manager Ciara) I immediately informed her I was looking to spend $14 or more, because I was currently at 1860 points and about to hit the 2000 reward point cap with a $14 purchase. (You earn 10 points per every dollar spent)
I was extremely specific to avoid problems since getting to this point had taken me months. I asked for the gumbo soup as a bowl and a drink, and she offered to add on baked bread for 65 cents which put me at over 14. Everything was fine at that point but she then makes a suggestion to take off the drink to "save me money." I told her that if doing so would end up costing me points then NO. I was VERY clear about this but she said it wouldn't take off points so I agreed.
When I sat down to check my points thinking I had hit 2000 to my horror I noticed I was at 1360, because she took off the drink without realizing points would be deducted like a moron, which took FIVE HUNDRED POINTS from my stockpile, aka FIFTY DOLLARS worth of points.
I was very angry and informed her of this and she apologized, but the damage was done. She could not void out the transaction since the points had already been deducted due to her incompetence.

She offered a free entree card but that is a hardly going to make up for the damage she caused. That would entitle me to an entree worth 14 dollars at most so even with tax I would need 3 of those to even come CLOSE to making up for her $50 screw up. I was tired and hungry and now angry on top of that, so I accepted one, ate my meals, and went on my way, vowing NEVER to return.
i am so sick of the incompetence I've been dealing with at Newks. I don't ever want to return to ANY establishment because that manager wiped out months of point progress and I don't feel like startting from about halfway to 2000.

If you go here despite my warning and you end up with her, make sure you are FIRM on your order, otherwise she will screw up yours as well.

Great family environment!!! I love this Newk’s location it’s sooo inviting and the customer service is amazing!!! Such a great team HIGH RECOMMENDED!!!

Went to dinner with my boss . I really love newks and have eaten at several different locations . Food is good , they are usually very busy between 11am til 2pm ,this is lunch rush ..but they usually get everyone thru line fast ..
