We’ve never been to Sky Japanese restaurant though we frequent other businesses in this area. When we heard that Dessy & Ferry (who also own Samu, one of our longtime favorite places) took over management of Sky Modern Japanese, OF COURSE, we had to come and sample the cuisine. We were not disappointed. Sky has sushi, sashimi and hibachi that is as beautiful to look at as it is wonderful to eat. The ambience is also pleasing and the staff is always friendly and attentive.

I usually order to go and typically tip but to be ignored for number of minutes until white old lady shows up and then waitress finally deigned to grace her presence so I may pay for my food. -5 for service. Food as usual is great. I’ll need to rethink eating here again.

They were not busy when we arrived, with only 4 tables sat. It was out first time so we took our time finding or food. I ordered an overpriced wiskey and they poured very light. My wife ordered 2 sushi riles and she loved them. I ordered the Johnnys's Lover role and Chicken Terryaki Hibachi. My sushi was tough to eat, over sauced, and the norinwas unchewable.
