Had been driving a bit. Puppie starting to give me subtle signs, he needs to get out. Well, I needed a break, too. So I started looking for a Waffle House sign. Found one, but it was a bit off of the main drag. However the service was great, especially for a "To Go" order. Ms. Sai made my order happen. Just wanted grilled cheese sandwiches w/bacon and an extra side of bacon for Puppie. Oh, and a waffle as dessert! Wanted to travel further and take a longer break at a rest area and picnic a bit. Ms. Sai was so intrigued by my little antedotes of Puppie that when the order was ready, she brought my order out!😊! Puppie made a new friend that day!

Place was freezing cold. I sat and shivered. Service was not good. Had to ask for syup for waffles, no fresh coffee made and some employees looking at music and videos on phones. One employee very loud . No jelly for toast was offered.

It's usually really quick and very good. Tonight, food took 20 minutes or so and then the second waffle took 10 minutes more. We did not get refills until we asked.
