It is a great place to eat! Wonderful service and friendly! I think it may be called something else now but I could be wrong. But regardless I do highly recommend this restaurant!

Great food and I love their brisket
I had a brisket plate with a bottle of water that cost $18. I thought it was pricey for the small portion that i received.
cafeteria style setup here, no waiters/waitresses
i like my food hot so this was not good as my food was getting cold while paying for it, etc.
baked beans were a little on the bold side, pulled pork ok, serving portions on the small side.
wanted to at least go try it though.

Great family business with great food!
Was not a fan of the coleslaw or the potato salad. Sausage was average. Sauce was good.

Came here with a friend that said this place is pretty good. I had the turkey. I enjoyed how it fell apart easily with my fork and it was easy to chew. The BBQ sauce was good with it. The beans I had with my turkey were good too. The staff were all very nice as they chatted with us when they weren't helping other customers. Shorty wasn't there but they did call him over when we asked if he was around. He sat and talked with is for the duration of our meal. I'd go here again if in the area so I could try out some different meats and see how well each one is. I'd recommend coming in at least one to try out your favorite BBQ meat. I ended up trying out the cherry cobbler for desert even though cherry isn't a fruit I care much for. It's actually pretty darn good and I'd recommend trying it too.

Part of the charm of this place is the derelict appearance of the outside. You know it's going to be good, and it doesn't disappoint. We both had pulled pork sandwiches and loved them. The cole slaw was fresh, simple and good. The potato salad was creamy - I could have made a whole meal of it. We'd come back in a heartbeat.
Only thing wrong with my visit is I can’t give you any more stars! Simply amazing. When people say they’ve had the best fall off the bone ribs they are obviously not familiar with Shorty’s ribs! Wow. Tasteful tender and just a mess to keep them whole long enough to eat them! May I please have a fork next time!!The original sauce is what we went with. Tangy and tasty. Not sweet like some overtly sugary sauces. As for the sides:The beans…excellent! The potato salad…excellent!Great find on our rambling Saturday afternoon drive through the Ozarks!!
The cheese dip was gross. There was a ton of fat in our sandwiches. The price for a 32 oz was really expensive. So we went down the street and got 2 drinks for the price of one of theirs.
Food was average for bbq. The ribs were cooked in foil and did not have the good smoke on them. Brisket was cut thin I think because it was not smoked like a normal bbq brisket, maybe cooked in foil in an oven. Sides were homemade so that was good.
