Southern Heaux - Restaurant Maumelle

Highly recommend this restaurant! Very good homemade food! We will be returning!

I had a birthday brunch there. The food and service (by Chelsea) was amazing! I had a group of 15 and we were seated timely (I made a reservation). The drinks were great (I had the mimosa flight). The food was well proportioned! I will definitely be back!!!!!

Everything was delicious!! Awesome staff! I will definitely return!

It took almost an hour for our food to come out and they weren't even busy. Then when we were ready for the check our waitress didn't come over to us for like 20 minutes so we had to wait. We were there for so long. The food wasn't anything special, especially for the long wait.

The food and staff are top tier! They are even nice if they made a mistake which is rare in the service industry. I visit at least one time per week for a variety of menu options. This place keeps the parking lot full and is always busy. You will not regret eating here!

This place is amazing! The rave reviews add up to the experience and the food! The staff is so nice and the food it phenomenal. I think my favorites are the crab cakes, fish and grits, croissant beignets and the McIntosh sweet potato pie but I’ve loved everything!

The vibe was everything! I absolutely loved everything about Southern Heaux. The food was a 10/10 ? the waitresses was very nice and made sure I had everything I needed. I most definitely will be going again !

Genuinely good food and professional (and courteous) staff. The coffee actually tastes like coffee (not brown water like other places). Menu has some unique items that are worth trying. Overall, worth a visit (or two).

Vegetarian options: Vegetarians and Vegans will have options but not necessarily as extensive so as some slightly more hipster type places.

Parking: It's in a strip mall type structure which means shared parking. Easy to get in and out but limited parking spots when busy.

I went for brunch. I had cocktails and the pound cake French toast meal. My cousin had a 3 egg omelet with potatoes. Y'all, OMG. It was perfection. The cocktails were great. The service was kind the establishment clean. The only complaint would have been time it took. I enjoyed my time to visit with family and enjoyed the time to unwind. Perfection takes time, sometimes.

Me and few coworkers went there after work. Website states they open at 8:00 am.They in fact didn't open up until 8:10 am only after we go out of our cars and walked to the door.
Ordered a mixed drink . The drink wasn't that good . So I asked for and extra shot of tequila. Not sure if the tequila was bottom shelf or watered down.
For my meal I ordered the Philly steak melt sandwich.
It could have used a little more seasoning.
My other coworkers had issues with their meals.
On top of that we were giving 5 thin napkins for a party of 5.

Great customer service and excellent food! Maumelle needed this little gem!! ? My server/bartender was Chelsea and she provided great customer service and made the drinks perfectly! I enjoyed the Georgia Glow cocktail and strawberry orange mimosa! The chicken and pancakes were excellent, too!! 100/10 recommend trying this new restaurant in Maumelle!
