About Chef’s

Chef’s is a small town café located in a former gas station close to the Hampton Inn, offering a great atmosphere and a country style dining area. The restaurant is not a fast food location, and the staff is ultra friendly, providing good service and prompt seating. The food is truly homemade, made from scratch, and the menu does not stick to one type of food only. The fried catfish dinner is a favorite, with small seasoned filets fried to perfection, served with fries, hushpuppies, onion, tarter sauce, and a choice of side salad or coleslaw. The fresh asparagus is sweet and tasteful, and the Parmesan crust on the chicken is a highlight. The omelet is massive, and the breakfast plates leave plenty left over. The environment is like one big family, with family cooking and a welcoming feel. The dining area is usually a little cool, so taking a jacket is recommended. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Overall, it is a great experience with amazing food, and it is always hopping. Chef’s is highly recommended.

Had the New Mexico burger today. It was fantastic just the right amount of spice. Probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is tired of mundane food. The service is always great also.

My husband and I were traveling back from a business trip in Louisiana. It was a rainy dark night driving through Monticello, Ar we googled places to eat. Chef’s came up and was very highly rated. We stopped that night and are so happy we did. It was some of the best food we’ve ever had. I had the catfish, my husband had beef medallions, not sure if that’s what they were called, but they were absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked! We’ve eaten at five star restaurants and...read full review

Stopped in tonite for dinner and ordered the prime rib with the loaded baked potato. Honestly, the steak was, THE, best steak I have ever had from any restaurant, cafe or diner. Kudos to the cook and thank you for the outstanding service from all working tonite.
