Staff is like family, as friendly as you are. Food is good. Relatively famous. Location is easy to find. Ample parking. Seating is a shade cosy, all chairs, no booths. Easy to befriend fellow diners, or bring a party and combine tables.
Specialties: Catfish, tomato relish, hush puppies, B&G. Table(art) feature a map of the local lakes, fish specie, some ads. Other aesthetics change seasonally.
Everything was very clean, well kept and service was very fast! Staff was wonderful with our rowdy kids, and even managed convince all three of them to try their *special* catfish! Very wonderful experience.
It’s no wonder the restaurant was named after a dog. The food looked at tasted like alpo. Was nothing to phone home and tell mom about. In fact I came down from Chicago and brought my mom here and I would’ve had better food if I had eaten at a homeless soup kitchen. First time and last time. Catfish was small and thin and mushy.
