We loved sitting and looking out at the river while eating here. We both got the catfish with the salad bar. They also give you a basket of fried puppies as well!

Food was good and prices are very reasonable and we left full!

We showed up 30 minutes before they were closing and they welcomed us in as if they were just opening!

With so many good reviews, I had high hopes. All of the fried food tasted frozen that you could get from a grocery store. If you're deciding between here or Anglers based on review numbers, go to Anglers instead.

The hush puppies were very bland little balls, the fish was nice and tender but the breading was lacking any flavoring. The service was great and the view and atmosphere are outstanding.

I have eaten here many times I have never left hungry or dissatisfied waitress are always friendly and good about checking on you, prices are good for the fish plates. I never come to mountain view area without making plans to eat here at JoJo's. Food is always flavorable and hot. If you have a problem here it is either you or they had a bad night. But you need to know when they are busy you are not the only customer.

Food was great and large windows provided an amazing view of the river. Service was very good and wait staff were very friendly. Portions of food were very generous and well prepared. Catfish was prepared perfectly and the homemade tartar sauce was excellent. They have a good selectuon of meals on the menu with good options for alternative sides. The hushpuppy side is HUGE. A 3 piece catfish dinner easily fed 2 of us with an added side salad. Price was on par with most restaurants in the area although we did feel the tea/soda price was a bit high at $3.95, but refills were free and they offered a to-go drink in the price. This is a popular spot and can be quite busy on weekends. The casual atmosphere encourages families and conversation so it can be a bit noisy when crowded. Overall, I recommend a visit to this restaurant.

The salad bar was unique, I'll give then that. But this was the he absolute worst $18+ LUNCH plate I've ever had!!! When both customers shove 3/4 of what they're served of to the side, that's a clue to the wait staff that maybe, just maybe, there's a problem! They started out serving all the sides well ahead of our hot plates. So our beans were pretty cold by the time or plates arrived, as well as being under cooked and a little hard. Over all the food was extremely bland, line a hospital cafeteria. But the pickled tomatoes are too hot and spicy even for my tastes. No warning or choice, just got hot tomatoes and found out the hard way. The hush puppies were about the size of a nickel and tasted like plain flour and water. The coleslaw was ground so fine if was nearly soup, again no seasoning at all. The baked potato was good, although not served properly. A potato should be softened and open, not just a little cut in the foil.
I was torn when I ordered because I had heard they had the best catfish around, and the menu touted famous crab cakes. So, without mentioning a $5 difference, I was told I could substitute, getting a crab cake plate. The crab cakes arrived hot and steaming, golden brown. The second your fork hits the crust, it falls into a million pieces. Making the struggle worse and also just why, they were served on a bed of ICEBERG lettuce!!! At this point you have a messy quilted salad too be eaten with a spoon!!! I did not order a salad. Hot meats are NOT meant to be served over iceberg lettuce, ewe!
The moral of the day is do NOT t take catfish advice from an out of towner proclaiming not to like fish, but liked this place🙄

Everything about this place is good. Starts with a great beautiful view. All the food is great. Outstanding catfish fried up perfect! Fish is extremely fresh and clean tasting. Pinto bean / hush puppies starters are good as it have eaten. Tea is outstanding. Our server was on point, attentive, but not worrisome. Price point very good. In line with most catfish places! Did I say the river view is great!?
