The Skillet Reviews
This place was one of my favorite experiences. They have such a nice wonderful staff and the food was so amazing! The restaurant atmosphere is the coolest! From the architectural design of the building, to the large windows over seeing happy squirrels and thirsty hummingbirds, and then the display of talented beautiful paintings for sale throughout the restaurant. The place is more than a gem, the place is a memory that you will want to create and share with others. The restaurant...read full review
This place is always great! Good food, great service, and a beautiful view. The dining room has large windows looking out into the forest.

The Skillet is a restaurant that offers a pleasant dining experience, with a beautiful setting surrounded by windows. Visitors often enjoy the breakfast buffet, which is substantial, quick, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making it a great place for families. Kids can have fun at the animal feeding stations outside, where they can watch squirrels on the squirrel swings, hummingbirds, and chipmunks. Dinner options are popular, with many guests praising the quality and portion sizes of dishes like fried chicken with potatoes and gravy, fried jalapeño chips, and ozark onion. The fried catfish is also a notable choice, especially for those seeking gluten and dairy-free options, as it is made with a corn base. The restaurant provides wheelchair accessibility, comfortable seating, and a welcoming atmosphere. While some guests have experienced issues with overcooked fried pickles or small portions, the overall experience remains positive, with many considering The Skillet a must-stop spot when in the area. The friendly staff and the charming decor, including bird and squirrel feeders outside, make it an appealing place to enjoy good food with family and friends. Guests often recommend asking for a table near the windows to fully enjoy the view.
