I stopped in to try their tamales and was not disappointed. I got them to go and they were tasty and very reasonably priced. I got a half dozen for 8 bucks and some change. Hard to beat that!

Tappppppppppp

I can’t get over how dirty this restaurant was! Why hasn’t the health department shut it down?! The wait was long, the food was less than mediocre, and the bathroom was disgusting. If you think about eating here, turn around and go the other way!

The food was just ok. It seemed they were out of a few things. Literally had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich that had 1 small piece of cheese and a thin piece of lunchmeat that wouldn’t satisfy a small child. Place was very dirty inside, condiments on table looked like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. Bathrooms filthy without toilet paper or paper towels. Avoid.

Amazing food for a rustic building . We have never had pickled tomatoes before and the Cajun burger is excellent. Well worth the few minute from the freeway.

I was the only person in the restaurant and received exceptional service. The food was awesome. Definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area.

My wife and i were pleasantly surprised by our lunch at this restaurant. The prices were reasonable and the food was great. After ordering, the staff brought us hush puppies and cake… both were free and very good. As we headed to the car the owner stopped us and gave us 6 tamales and they were awesome. We’ll be back!!

We pulled up, got out of the car and almost decided to go somewhere else. We were up for an adventure and went inside. The owner could not have been more friendly. We felt very welcome despite that we were from out of town with our northern accent. The food was excellent! The service great! They recommended the BBQ or the Tamales. I had pork bbq sandwich my wife has beef bbq sandwich. They both came without sauce on them which I love and you add your own homemade bbq sauce. I had the coleslaw on the side (otherwise it comes on the sandwich). The owner slipped us a couple tamales to try and they were excellent. We also had excellent fried Okra. Best hush puppies I've ever had. And then the they brought out warm Peach Cobbler. The whole meal was a little over $20. Way more food than we could eat. It's not the cleanest looking place, but if your looking for the local home town restaurant this is the place. We will stop back next time we are in the area. I just loved this place.
