I had the hamburger (chop) steak? with grilled onions , Texas Toast?, baked potato? with butter , cheese? and bacon? bits and fried okra. All parts of the meal were delicious but the ?/ were stunningly fantabulous. The only two petty and insignificant negatives I can think of were the toast wasn't very big and, at first they forgot my fried okra BUT this was quickly transmogrified into a positive when the supervising waitress noticed the error before I even did and brought...
Wanted to appeased my night appetite by visiting a local restaurant. Customer service was great and the vibe was awesome. The only upset were the fries and onions rings. Perhaps it’s how they’re suppose to be here but fries came out cold, soggy, and oily. The onion rings were somewhat better, but still disappointing. At least the burger was good.
Restaurants like this are a dying breed. All the comforts of home-cooked food and a dining room that doesn't make you feel like you need to wear a collared shirt. I feel like I could eat here a few nights a week and have plenty of room for variety. Tasty food, friendly staff, great drinks, elbow room - nothing dressed up, just classic-comfortable diner. We can't wait to come back.
