We had a party of 9 and stopped in for a late lunch after a day of swimming. 4 adults and 5 hungry teenagers and Randy whipped up a 5 star lunch for all of us. The food was phenomenal and because he was cooking alone, I was even more surprised that everything was brought out at the same time and perfectly hot! He is a master at his craft. A coworker recommended the Catalpa Cafe stating that Randy cooks some of the most amazing food he's EVER had. So, we made the drive yesterday from the LR area and Randy did not disappoint! We had the Barnyard burger and the Juicy Lucy and both said they were the best burgers in our recollection. Onion rings and fries were perfection too! We took a drive Saturday looking for Catalpa Cafe. It’s an unassuming place that had great hamburgers and Philly steak sandwich! We topped it off with some good ol coconut crème pie. The owner is friendly and you feel like you just visited family when you leave the place. We had a great Saturday adventure finding him. If you get up that way or even if you go out of your way, find Catalpa Cafe! It won’t disappoint you!
