It's a small place, so it gets crowded fast. Bit the food... it's so worth the trip into Palestine. The staff (including Burt) is a friendly bunch. It feels kind of like you're eating at a family member's house.

This was by far the best barbecue we’ve had! We look for good bbq throughout our travels, Burts was by far the best tasting yet! Burt was so friendly, he made us feel at home, we hope to go back sometime! Well worth the trip! Mike and Kumarie

Food was fantastic! Plenty of parking for RV. Sat and chatted with Burt, he was very gracious and let us sample some white bean soup. Everything was delicious. Husband said it’s the best brisket he’s ever had. The baked beans were amazing!

This was my first stop on my BBQ run I went to 7 different BBQ restaurants yesterday. And by far this was the best Bbq Pork sandwich the meat had great flavor and texture. I recommend it when in the area or pass through 🥪.

If you’re in this area, skip the Memphis BBQ “big names” and come to see Burt. We met the Burt the owner (very friendly and welcoming). Gave us some samples to help us pick what meat plate to purchase. Also met another gentleman that must be a frequent customer and friend of hurts who was also very warm and welcoming. Both had a good sense of humor and made us feel at home. The lady who took our order was also very helpful. Just great Brisket and great pricing. I would not hesitate to go back. Loved the old building and the history of how some of the materials was reclaimed. Thanks again

Everything all the other reviews said it was. Gonna have to stop more often as i come through here often it really isn't out of the way. Today the interstate was shut down i needed to park for a break. The pulled pork sandwich is moist , and flavorfull, the baked beans on point delicious. I paired it with sweet tea. All was good.
