“I travel all throughout the United States yearly. Each night the crew I work with pick a place to eat... This little gem hid in the middle of nowhere is awesome!!! I ordered the Saturday night special which was rib eye with shrimp. Excellent cut of meat, shrimp was properly grilled and the vegetables were tasty. I usually eat some of the same meals regularly and at twice the price. This beat over half of them out. So if your ever looking for someplace to eat dinner this is the spot. I know my co workers were also very happy with their meals.”

“It's a little ways off the highway but well worth the drive. The best BBQ brisket I've had in a long time. It's a small place with friendly atmosphere and delicious homemade food. Try the peach cobbler with some ice cream! You'll be glad you stopped.”

“Good pizza but the lady at the register is so rude. Asked for pizza to be well done and she said with an attitude okay well that's how we do it, refused my request and only put it through the conveyor once. Now that I think about it once she gave me that attitude and refused my request I should have just said actually I'm good and gone somewhere else. I'm not sure what is with the people out here and attitudes but the loves chesters across the road wasn't any better last I remember”

“We were pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of the fried chicken. Got a 3 piece combo and the leg, thigh and breast were all juicy meat and crispy outside. However we didn't get a biscuit so I can't comment on that. Macaroni and cheese was decent. A bit salty. 5 out of seven stars for a perfect score. We will return.”

“We stopped here one evening to pick up a late meal while traveling. We were very pleased with the freshness of the ingredients and the care that the employee took to prepare the sandwiches exactly to our preferences even though it was nearing closing time for that store.”

“This place! I give it five stars on EVERYTHING. Delicious coffee and the brownie was absolutely fabulous. And the kindness and warm welcome was just wonderful. We could not have asked for anything more. What a happy, cozy place to be! We felt so taken care of and cannot wait to return. It is such a lovely spot to stop. Definitely worth the few minutes to leave I-40. This place feels like a hug. Thank you for making our family’s Monday morning so joyful!”

“Highly recommend this place! The food is outstanding my wife and I got salads and we’re trying to eat healthy but we saw the steaks and burgers coming out and immediately regretted our decision. But the salads were great and the dressings we got were house made. Had a small issue with an order, but it was made right immediately. It’s worth the short drive off the interstate.”

“This food is so good that you can become addicted. I found myself eating there two days in a row and two days in a row i bought the same thing as the Pulled pork plate. Personally I would not go anywhere else to get a real smoke house Barbecue Plate. This guy Mr Golden Brown and his entire staff stands my 100% approval. “Excellent food. I had the lunch poblano, although im not a vegetarian, it was an exception choice. Rice, bean, and salad with guacamole was just too much to eat. I put my remaining poblano and cheese on my husband's already steak filled burrito up a notch.The beer was cold and mug was frosty”

“Had a pork sandwich and fries and was quite pleased. Pork was tender and the fries were crispy outside and tender inside. Sweet tea as good as you can get in Texas. The girl that waited on us was so nice and helpful You know a place is good when the local police eat there! I will definitely be back on my next trip thru Forest City.”

“What a mish-mash decor but that's the fun of it. We were just passing through and enjoyed watching neighbors greet and talk.My boyfriend was chomping at the bit for catfish joined with frogs' legs. I had chicken strips and catfish.Great service. The only question I had was, with all the fresh cooking, why bog it down with pre-packaged tartar, coctail sauce and lemon in a squeeze bottle?!!Go the country mile and make it *All* fresh!”

“Nice atmosphere. Surprisingly so, considering it shares an entrance with a motel. I cannot dispute claims of "authentic" Mexican food, but the fajitas came sizzling to the table with plenty of meat and a tasty mix of grilled vegetables.”

“I tell you what. I stopped by to get some food as I was headed out of town and glad I did. This is some great stuff and the owners are awesome. They don't have dine in at this location but the new one will. So drive up and order or in my case ride up and sit on the curb and enjoy some really good food. All that food was under 10 bucks and it came with a drink. Cycling fuel!”

“Traveling through and decided to have lunch. We chose the buffet. Everything was fresh and everything was hot if it was supposed to be. We'll definitely dine here again.”

“This was a great place to stop between Little Rock and Memphis for a quick lunch. We had a party of 5 adults and 1 toddler and we all found something delicious to eat. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. It was full of meat and not too spicy and the slaw was just right, not overpowering. The baked beans were tasty too and seasoning just right on the mild side. The rest of the party enjoyed a variety of sandwiches with the Philly Cheesesteak and the French Dip receiving rave reviews. The bread pudding was everyone’s favorite part of the meal even though the servings of this delicious treat were small. We went back and ordered seconds! It was warm, sweet and creamy , perfect for a cold day .The inside was very clean and cute. The woman taking our orders and serving was very friendly too. We will definitely stop here again. So much better than fast food.Kid-friendliness: They have clean high chairs and didn’t seem to mind our toddler greeting everyone who came through the door .”

“Our indecisive group of 8 stopped here for lunch on our 12 hour road trip. Im not sure if there has been a change in management since all the bad reviews but that was not our experience. The customer service was some of the best i think i have had at a fast food place. Food was fresh and hot. I have no complaints. I don't usually leave reviews but the lady who took our order deserves a 5 star review!”

“Amazing service and hot, fresh food. A large bus group of 2 buses of teenagers came in right behind my family and the McDonald's staff did fantastic with everyone and kept the drivethru running quick, too.”
