We was on our way to Hot Springs and was looking for somewhere to eat on our way. Found this place and it was by far the best place I’ve ever had a steak. My husband got the crawfish etouffee and grits appetizer. the cheesy grits were great and the etouffee was amazing. I got the boiled shrimp appetizer they were seasoned perfectly and peeled great: we got the Cajun shrimp and rice and the small ribeye with Twice baked Potatoes and broccoli. I’m Not a big fan of broccoli but this broccoli was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The STEAK was seasoned to perfection and so tender. The best food we’ve ever had by just picking a place on our route. The waitress Kristen was amazing. Don’t pass this place up!

THE MOST RUDE EMPLOYEES & HORRIBLE SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! Last night my sister had reservations for her 40th birthday. My mom is in. wheelchair, which is NEVER an issue anywhere we go. Because she was in a wheelchair, the party area had to be moved elsewhere and one of the hostesses made the comment to my sister or brother in law, that if they had any other people coming to call and tell them not to come because they didn't have room since they had to move the party.....her tone was so rude my 10 year old nephew commented on how rude she sounded. My mom was embarrassed and wanted to just go home after all this, but she stayed an feeling like a burden, rather than a mom proud to be at her daughter's party with family and friends. I hope the owner sees this post and takes action. My mom, dad, and I had never been were looking forward to eating somewhere new, but after last night, we will never darken their door again! Customers should never be made to feel like my mom was made to feel last night.

Kind of a beach vibe without the water. Half indoor half outdoor. Just a neat place to go hang out and have drinks and good food. The boudin is awesome and fish is one of our favorites.
I live in Santa Monica CA and come to visit Texarkana once a month. This is my first stop every time. Food is amazing and the a laid back atmosphere. The service is great. One note is a dish called Crawfish Grits. You must order them. Never cared for grits but these will blow you away!

My family met to have my birthday dinner last night and it was such a great experience. The food, service and atmosphere were great. We had reservations for 20 but that number increased and the restaurant made the changes with ease and insured we all had room to celebrate. I couldn’t have asked for better food and service. Our waitress was very patient with our sometimes disorderly group! She made sure we had everything we needed with ease. I would highly recommend dining at Pops Place for small or large groups.
Friday night at 6pm, got in quick and sat with Megan at the bar, best dinner experience in Texarkana!!!! 👏👏👏👏 BOH…. Yall are killing it, thank you sooo much!!! We’ll see y’all for lunch!!
