“On 5/1/25, I was in a car accident near Shish Kabob House in Tucson. The driver who hit me was followed by a friend or family member—who happens to be the owner of that business. Instead of doing the right thing, both are now lying to insurance agents about what happened. There were no other witnesses, and I’m still trying to track down any video footage from nearby businesses or apartments. It’s frustrating and disheartening to see a local business owner protect personal connections instead of standing up for what’s right. How can we support local businesses that don’t show that same respect and accountability to the community they serve? if she can so easily lie to an agency that can turn around and prosecute if/when the proof is shown, why would the community be so supportive of her. I highly recommend that this person doesn't get the community support she so much thinks she deserves! I wouldn't ever support an owner/operator of a restaurant knowing the lack of community support given back when I know what can be done in back of house in food industries to make sure she's got her butt covered in the event of a state inspection. please be careful with this person!“

“really good but really expensive. but doesn't stop me coming back. park at nearby garage on 5th Street and if you get back fast enough it will only be $1

update march 2024: my usual order is the jumbo chicken shawarma sandwich and fries which comes out to about $19. im pretty skinny and it's usually just enough to satisfy my hunger. but today I went and the chicken sandwich was actually jumbo. like, it was enough to feed me on its own. and it's still $14, the same price as always. so I don't know if they updated the sizes or ive just been getting scammed with a regular size sandwich this whole time until now, but if this sizing continues I will say it's really not even expensive.“

“There was easily space for me at the bar when I arrived around 8pm on a Thursday night. I was pleased they could still accommodate my food order. The margarita was delicious, as was the Wedge Salad. For main, I ordered a special: purple cauliflower steak with Chimichurri sauce and buttery delicious vegetables. Great for special occasions, as it's definitely on the pricey end for Tuscon -- but 100% worth it.“

“First thing I say when we walk in, "OMG this place smells AMAZING!!", and tasted even better! Best falafel and gyro I've ever had!! I like that the falafel is patties instead of balls like most places. It was cooked perfectly..crispy crunchy on the outside, soft and almost cake-like on the inside. You get 4 cakes to the order plus pita bread, cucumbers and tomatoes. The gyro is HUGE!! I couldn't even pick it up to try and eat it until I ate some of the meat out of it, which btw, is flavored so beautifully that you don't really need the tzatziki sauce but definitely worth putting on bc the flavors of both go together so well! I HIGHLY recommend going to Istanbul if you want outstanding Mediterranean food in a good atmosphere! This place definitely get 👍👍 from this food enthusiast!!“

“Such a cute and cozy Turkish restaurant! They have a beautiful indoor patio as well as outdoor seating, which makes the atmosphere really inviting. The food selection is amazing with a big variety of options to choose from.
The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, especially Angel. She was very helpful and friendly, and when she found out we drove 2 hours from Phoenix, she kindly offered us complimentary tea so we could relax before the long drive back. That thoughtful gesture really stood out.

“Restaurant food and service was excellent. Only complaint was they set a table for 16 people down the middle of the restaurant. Table was noisy and all the couples around the perimeter were upset. Poor decision on setting up the large table.“

“Just tried this place for the first time last night....food is FANTASTIC!! The crew (young) were incredible; engaged and helpful explaining their menu. Great personality and customer service. The dining area was super clean and the 3 young men working, were actually working in between customers and not goofing off. We will definitely be back!!!“
