Hated it because it is closed due to flooding with no projected date of reopening. It was ruined anyway after it was sold and turned from a old west themed landmark to a run-of-the-mill restaurant.

Well I have to say we were not expecting much, but this little backwoods place had great food and excellent service. The Servers were fun and provided us with some critical bird watching locations in the area. We were very appreciative. Thanks Cow palace.

We enjoyed a good meal here with friends. Unfortunately a monsoon flood went through the place destroying everything inside. The place is now closed with little prospect of reopening.

Our got to place for lunch. Fries are fabulous. We love the Santa Fe Melt (be sure and substitute sourdough bread versus the wheat - but both are good). Try the pitcher margarita with a 6oz beer combo...fun! Lynn's dirty martini good too.

Great place for steaks. There is a lot of history in this old steak house. They have a full service bar, Shelley was a great ambassador for Cow Palace. They offer free corn bread while you wait for your meal. The food is reasonably priced and they have great daily specials. All different types of seating: booths, tables w/chairs, bar seating. Plenty of room to maneuver around if you are disabled or in a wheelchair. I gave it 4 stars just because I believe as an Americana restaurant you should offer more than 1 type of soup. Maybe they have more options at lunch, not sure. Worth checking it out if you are just visiting in the area.

First review, although I've been here a few times now. The Cow Palace is well known but doesn't rest on its laurels the way some older Tucson restaurants do. This is a solid steakhouse. No real surprises on the menu and prices are reasonable. On our visit, the place was clean and service was prompt. I got the house nachos and found them fairly bland for my taste.

Stopped by today for a quick beer. No one showed at the bar. Left and went to a place in Tubac. Not the first time either. Otherwise alright . Place has just kept dropping in quality for years

Today was Mothers Day so buffet service was the only option. The brisket and veal were good but that was it as far as I was concerned. They were out of ham at 2pm, really? Smoked salmon was awful, no breakfast brunch dishes served, scalloped potatoes were cold and runny and tasted funny. Desserts were not really good and no real choices. Salads were non existent, green lettuce with cherry tomatoes, what? Potato salad that was awful , coleslaw was only edible, this was your only choices. Will go back again to try their regular menu, maybe. Not worth the price.

A really solid 4, almost a 5. The service was fast and excellent! This is so important when you have a large group on separate checks. I had the Rustic Burger and thought it was great. Could be the best burger I've had in the Green Valley area! We had a great time!
