If you want GOOD BBQ in a chill, no frills, laid back atmosphere, this is your place. Feels like BBQ at your friends house in the backyard. Folding chairs, picnic tables, menu is on wax paper and grease pencil. Its that kind of chill out, laid back place. Best BBQ I have had in Phoenix. The brisket was nice and tender. Good flavor without even any sauce on it not very fatty like other places. The pulled pork had lots of flavor, very good mac & cheese. The potato salad was a little on the sour side but good. The pudding was excellent. We didn’t think we would finish all this, but we sure did. Can’t wait to come back when we’re in town again..
Bbq with a little bit of Mexican influence. Still, it was good. We tried the pulled pork, pork ribs, brisket, turkey, beans, Mac and cheese, French fries and elote. Brisket was the best tasting protein. Least favorite was pulled pork - it was a little on the dry side. Turkey was moist, but lacking a little bit of seasoning and spice/smoke. Sides were all good. Bbq sauce selection was good, as well. They did run out of house made sausage, which I would come back for given my overall...
