As a wheelchair user, I’ve always had wonderful experiences whenever my husband and I stop by while traveling between Camp Verde and Phoenix for appointments. The staff is always friendly, the menu offers great options, and the portion sizes are just right — plus, I can’t resist the homemade fudge and the delicious pies, which are to die for!

Exceptionally great BBQ and Roasted Chicken!! Dakota was our server and she was so kind to us and helped us figure out which pie to get and what side orders to put in! She was so kind and genuine and you don’t get that type of service that often in the year 2025. My mother and I really enjoyed our meal and the service! We will assuredly be coming back soon! Thank you so much for the great hospitality!!

Fun stop. Lots of little things to look at in the shop. Food was not bad but not exceptional, overall average. I think they may have been shorthanded on the day we visited, service took quite a bit longer than expected.

Been coming here for 30 plus years. I ordered a Strawberry Rhubarb pie because I moved from AZ some time ago and needed a Pennie’s pie to satisfy my craving.! The pie arrived as promised and except for not being in AZ it was delicious!
The pie is gone now but not the memory of eating it in AZ! Thank you Natasha for all your assistance. I’ll see you next time I’m in AZ visiting family!

We went today for my birthday. I had heard it was really good. I heard wrong. After a 20 min wait to be seated, we were seating and ordered fairly quickly. After a 55 min wait on absolutely the most uncomfortable wooden pew I have ever sat on, we received our food and two of the orders were incorrect. One was sent back because a chicken fried steak is beef, not chicken. We had gone for the pie but could not sit any longer so we went outside to help our backs recover. After a while we decided to walk over to the Pie Box. We purchased 4 different slices. I chose Cherry Crumb. I was extremely disappointed. The 4 others with me agreed that their choses were equally disappointing. I grew up in a restaurant, worked with my parents in that restaurant and know that there are bad days when staff doesn't show, emergency happen but the total experience is not lost if the food is good. We will not be going back.

Ordered a rhubarb pie for delivery as a surprise for my husband’s birthday. Pie arrived in perfect condition and better yet, he loved it.

Popular spot but a big disappointment. We ordered the Brisket Philly Cheesesteak and the Meatloaf Stacker. Both sounded amazing but were extremely bland. Fries and onion rings were great. Store and wait staff were efficient but not overly friendly. Food prices were average but store was overpriced. A piece of pie is $7.95 (we passed) and gas at the nearby station is $1 higher than elsewhere. Atmosphere could have been cute but felt a bit dingy/dirty. Wish we would have eaten elsewhere and would not recommend.

Based on all the pie reviews, we drove from the West Valley to get a pie. Purchased a whole lemon meringue pie and half a cherry pie. Hubby's favorite is the lemon and cherry is mine. We were both anxious to get home to devour them.
Unfortunately his first bite and comment was, tastes like chemicals! The perforated pie pan was filled with liquid (see video) and the crust was soggy. The meringue was weeping as if it wasn't baked enough to prevent the weeping.
The cherry pie topping was a thick layer of a breadcrumb-like substance with no flavor of butter or sugar.
We were both disappointed and will not be back.

We had a great late night dinner here on the way to Page Az. Good staff and a nice atmosphere. I have no complaints about the food.

What a great place! It is a restaurant, sundry shop, and upstairs has a brand new Christmas section. We loved it. We did not eat there this time - but have before, and the meals are fantastic, the waitstaff is very friendly. It's nice to go somewhere and be able to shop a bit as well as share a great meal. Highly reccomend! They also have a pie box, where you can buy fantastic homemade pies or slices. Cute little dining area and the yard was all decorated for halloween.
