These guys and gals saved the day! Had been trying to submit a redemption of points order on the app for a while, I called customer service to alert them to app problems and just place the order over the phone. Well now, when you do that you get sent to a call center in India where the people helping you don't know what "stuffed cheesy bread" is... nor do they understand how to use your points on an order!
