First time dining at Keeler's and we can't wait to come back. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and the food and service was excellent! My wife's filet was tender and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the sea bass which was also very tasty! Also appreciated the causal neighborhood restaurant vibe. I want to recognize our server and fellow Chicagoan Michael for the exceptional service and conversation. Also thought the overall meal including wine was a very good value. Looking forward to dining on the patio next time when it is not a 106😀.
The service was excellent, no question about that. But the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered lamb chops. They were supposed to be cooked medium and charred on the outside. What came out was overcooked with no charring on the outside. The meat was stringy with a lot of cartilage. So much so that not only was it hard to chew was also hard to cut with a knife. The meat was also tasteless. We've eaten there before and had fairly decent meals with good value for the money. This time we wish we hadn't gone, and that's a shame because we were there for Mother's Day, and the food was good. The sides were ok, but the Arnold Palmer that I had tasted a little bit weird. It'll probably be a while before we eat there again, as the food was much better during the snowbird season.
Disappointed in this visit Prime ribs were not great - frankly Harold's prime rib better Fish and salads good Let's hope this visit was just an anomaly
Keelers has been and will continue to be our bestie steakhouse! We love the ambiance and of course the food, and even though we have our favorite servers, over the years we have truly enjoyed every single server we've had! We celebrated our anniversary there a few days ago and they gifted us EACH with a dessert! I,needing to be gluten free, couldn't share the beautiful slice of cake my husband received so they brought me a piece of their DELICIOUS chocolate flourless cake! 😋 They pay attention to “notes and requests” on Open Table reservations!! We are very grateful Keelers is in our neighborhood and we feel they've become part of our family 🧡
We had Julia as our server. Pleasant and social. Our meal portions were outstanding especially the sides that come with the entrees
If you like loud voices coming from the bar set in the almost middle of the restaurant this is the place for you. Our server had a hard time hearing us place our order so what does that tell you. Laughing, cackling women at the bar and just too noisy from my liking. I could barely hear the other guest at my table and by the end of the evening, my voice was almost out from having to talk so loud so they could hear me. I was not a fan. The food was decent but nothing that knocked my socks off.
My husband and I have been dining at Keeler's for as long as it has been open. From Sonny to Sean and all the wonderful people that make Keeler's one of our favorite spots, it is a Cave Creek gem. The food, drinks and atmosphere are amazing. Take your pick of sitting inside where the ambience is speakeasy-esque or Dine on the palatial but intimate outside patio....or if you really want a sweet spot, the rooftop deck has the most amazing views. I cannot rant enough about Keeler's!
Delicious food and great service and drinks🤗Always a great place to have dinner and enjoy the patio!
Keeler's is a regular for us. Not withstanding my long story my wife and I definitely recommend Keeler's. First the good parts. Everyone except the waiter was great and we watched the most exceptional hard working busser ever. She was everywhere, never stopped moving, never stopped smiling, always willing to chat briefly again with great smile, made everyone feel happy to be there. All the others greeting us, showing us to table, asking if we had everything we needed were very good, not intrusive but very aware. The food was pretty simple, Prime Rib Sandwich au jus, with onion rings. The bread was fresh, the prime rib taste, the onion rings large and nice. Good sandwich. Everything 5 except a slight downgrade on service due to a single person. The waiter. Well, he got our orders right anyway, same thing for both of us :). But Wife(W) says "Can I get a taste of this Chard?", waiter(w), hesitation, "a taste...?", W, "yes a taste". eventually that comes back but by then she decided with the prime rib sandwich she would want a red so W, "sorry to do this but I decided I wanted red. Can I have a taste of these 2?" one was $10 and the other $14. w: "I suggest this one" points to the highest price glass on the menu, $26. (it is a neighborhood steak house:)) Some nights $26 or more fine, not when we are pointing at under 15. W "No this one and this one", w "uuhh, a taste?" I detected a nose upturn but that's just me. W: "yes a taste". I ordered a gin drink. Again eventually the tastes come out. She selected the Conundrum and the response was "Figures". Not idea what that meant, ideas? All this time we were ready to order but never really got the chance till then. Ordered and that was fine. Everything came out pretty slow though and he was very inattentive. He might have had a bunch of tables inside and only us outside, not sure but even if that was the case he should have at least told us of the dilemma. BOTTOM LINE I RECOMMEND KEELERS
Great food. Great service. Nice place. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a good steak dinner.

Sierra DeLeon is an amazing server. We always have a great experience when we sit in her section.
Prime rib sandwich, meat overcooked and dry, bread ok, onion rings very good. Pork chops very good, salad good but server had pork chop plate in salad, made a mess and salad was warmer than one would like. Server was slow to bring drink.
Always solid experience. Great neighborhood steakhouse that feels like a neighborhood pub. We sat at the bar and notice half of all the patrons seemed to know each other. Great and friendly staff and food always good.
Well about a year ago my wife and I had an incredible Keelers dinner, and I YELPED immediately with 5 stars of joy. In fact, since then we've returned multiple times and always been very pleased. I like giving restaurants positive reviews considering the hard labor for all staff from maître d, server, waiter, bar, sous-chef, and chef.
But last Saturday night was a disaster. Firstly, Carefree was hosting the Thunderbird Art show and Keelers was jammed when we got there with our 7:45pm reservations.
The bad experience started with the server, who - you know the pushy type - didn't seem to like our not ordering alcohol. Interesting that he was a late middle aged man, serving at a restaurant on a Saturday night.
I asked him if I could substitute a small salad for the green beans and smashed potatoes - which I'd done several times before without incident. He refused saying, "we don't do that unless you order a steak . . . but I can bring you a salad if you still want one." I said no, but my wife asked for a moment to see if anything caught her eye, and she asked the server to start my order anyway. He abruptly left saying, "I'll put both in at the same time." He disappeared as I steamed.
After what seemed like forever, he returned and took our orders - 2 steelhead trout. My wife asked if the green beans could be cooked a bit more, as they often had a tendency to be tough. He responded, "We make them al dente." So I'd had it by then and responded, "We just don't want to dent our teeth." He then agreed to ask the kitchen staff to check the green beans.
WHEW! What a hassle. I mean I know inflation has hit terribly in the last 6-8 months, but when you're ordering $100 meals for 2, after tax and tip without alcohol, you want to be treated agreeably.
I asked for same waiter for lemon slices for our fish. At this point we were worried about how our orders would actually be. A young congenial guy returned shortly with the lemon.
When the trout was brought to us, we started to eat it and both thought it undercooked with an underlying fishy flavor. (You know how there's always a disclaimer on the menus warning patrons about undercooked seafood/shell fish!) So we got the waiter's attention and asked for the steelhead to be cooked more. He took it to the kitchen. Ten minutes later another congenial guy (Ryan) returned with the trout and followed that with additional almondine sauce.
So the one star is well deserved, but sad given our wonderful meals in the last year. Moral of story is don't go to Keelers late on a Saturday night, and hope you get a better waiter than our guy.
Poor service. Had to send both our dishes back for being cold. We were told that would be remade, got them back 2 minutes later, waiter said they were brought up to temp. They microwaved them.
Terrible food. Never going back.
