I really wanted this to be Great, but the tortillas were cooked way too long. They were crispy instead of soft and flexible. Presentation is everything and, well this place certainly disappointed.

Finally got a chance to try Vaquero's. This is authentic Cali style Mexican cuisine. Food is delicious. Portions are large. Cost is affordable. Everything I tried so far has been good... Definitely worth trying this place if you have not already.

So impressed!
We got off the freeway for some Mexican food.
Lengua taco was huge! Enough meat in one taco to fill 2 tacos. Tender meat, great pico and salsas.
Husband scarfed down the rolled tacos.
Tamale was just ok, but I should’ve known as I prefer green Chile tamales.
Young woman behind the counter was very kind and patient as we were tired and hungry, so we took a few minutes to order.
