“We had Absolutely THE BEST Experience with Arash and Just Kabobs! They catered my Mother's 80th Birthday Party and did an amazing job! You can eat in the restaurant also. Not only was the bbq incredible - perfectly cooked, exceptional sauce and quality meat (especially for my husband’s Southern roots), but my Cobb salad was made from the freshest, best tasting ingredients, topped with scrumptious chicken. The green chili cornbread and pork rinds were also tasty! Our food came out super fast and we even got a table visit by one of the owners, so kind and welcoming. “The Keg is my favorite restaurant, whether in Oro Valley (Tucson) or when I'm traveling in Canada. I've been to a half dozen outlets. The best part is the staff. Attentive without being overbearing. Only issue is that they don't offer the Prime Rib rare. I can deal with that. Good wine list too. Save room (if you can) for desert.“

“This is authentic Italian food. The owner is from Italy, she is a delightful and amazing lady. The servers are attentive, making sure your food is as expected. There is inside and patio seating with a beautiful view of the mountains. When we are showing off Tucson to our friends, this restaurant is always on our list.“

“One last meal in Arizona before heading home.

Emily’s dad suggested we go to Jerry Bob’s for breakfast but declined to join us since he wasn’t feeling like eating out for a morning meal. We hopped in the car and headed out for breakfast!

Somehow we ended up at one of the Jerry Bob’s across town instead of the one close to her parents. We walked in it and quickly took a seat while a lone waitress serviced the few tables she had. Em and I ordered some coffees and looked over the menus. Nothing on the menu really stood out until we both looked at this whiteboard on the wall behind me that said Breakfast Quesadilla with Beans and Salsa. Both our eyes lit up and that’s what we ordered. You can substitute the refried beans with hash browns, which is what I did.

And just like that, our quesadillas were out and in front of us. When I saw the waitress bring our plates out, my eyes nearly popped out of my head. These things were not just massive but felt like they needed a second plate to hold them up.

We dug in and both commented that we could’ve just ordered one and split it easily. But since we didn’t know when we would eat again since we flew out that afternoon, we dug in and ate as much as we could. The salsa and lettuce/tomato topping that came with it, I would open the ‘dilla and put them in and maybe that’s sacrilege to some but wow… it really kicked up the flavor a few notches. I even had some leftover salsa at the end and ate it by itself. It was some of the best I had and it has this nice little kick to it that let you know its there without hurting.

I will say I was thrown off by the interior of this location. The walls had mostly an americana theme going for it but it seemed just randomly placed without much thought. Kinda of like when a diner does the americana theme but this location had a lot of bareness on the walls. But, that’s not really here nor there. Just a silly observation on my part.

Overall, I am glad Dave recommended this place. The quesadilla held me over until we got home and even then, I felt like I only ate out of it being like 12 hours since I had anything to eat.

“Pretty Pricey but great place to come and watch a game, especially if you live in the Oro Vista Apartments behind them, and all the other establishments that are around too. Great little area, and also if you research a bit, or see our reviews on here, there a couple of healthy Pizza places and will allow you to take Beer Growlers home. All around, love the area, if you're visiting, don't be afraid to ask. I am in the area and would be glad to show people around who want to have a good time! Just want to provide accurate information, and correct information. I've been in other cities before in California to South Carolina, and they've all helped me and in San Diego once, actually, offered to come along to see what I thought of Lagunitas brewery in SD. But that's another story.

“First time here, first impression was worthy. If you're solo and they arent busy, do yourself a favor and just take a table instead of sitting at the counter. The chicken fried steak was sizeable.. All in all I felt like I received a good value.“

“Wonderful staff and great food! This is a local breakfast spot with tons of regulars. Good mix of American comfort food and Southwest classics. It's a great place for meeting friends or family for a bite. Or for some food before you go hiking, hunting or off roading.

Parking: The have regular parking that includes several motorcycle spots. They also have a dirt overflow lot which is perfect if you are pulling a trailer.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessable. There are a couple of disabled parking spots and several spots that are close. The bathrooms do have some handles to help, but the bathrooms are not very big. So it would be a tight fit to use with a manual chair and probably not accessible for a mechanical one.“

The atmosphere is calm and comfortable, the western style menu like the grilled salmon is good and presented well. The spring rolls are very good. Servers are thoughtful and attentive.
But the best is the Vietnamese specialty section of the menu.
Go eat there for lunch or dinner, just make sure your order includes what you won’t t find anywhere else in Tucson or Oro Valley- Great Vietnamese dishes, all served with an abundance of fresh herbs.“

“Interior: Very nice and inviting. Staff: very friendly and attentive. Food: Was pretty good, sandwich needed more flavor though. Lemonade wasn’t very strong. Got a little busy after we arrived but wasn’t very loud at all and we could still hear each other talking so it was still pleasant. Total: $24 before tip. :)“

“Looking for a Chinese in the area and wow we're we pleased. It was about 3:00 and they were still doing quite a bit of takeout, but their dining room was very nice. In The Kung Pao chicken was great with lots of vegetables. The pork fried rice was fantastic and was served as a side when we ordered the "family style". You won't be disappointed“

Overall busy atmosphere but good service (most of the time but especially this time). Dough nuggets could use a bit extra time cooking, as the middle of some were still raw. Salads had a bit less dressing that I'd like, but I asked for extra. I think mixed in would be better rather than on the side.

“Came in with my boyfriend to get some margaritas about an hour before close. Carlos was super nice and we had a great time chatting with him at the bar. Definitely makes one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had. We got some food to go and it was delicious. We’ll definitely be back!“

“I ordered 21 pizzas to be ready by 11a (20 mix and match mediums; one gluten free personal). I have a large manufacturing team to feed. The pizzas were perfection and the staff were incredibly professional and polite. They even helped me out to my car (to place in trunk because the manufacturing site is outside the delivery radius). Lexi was cheerful friendly and very caring in ordering our food and making sure we had everything we needed.. we then proceeded to epazote for dessert.. oscar took care of us there.. and same level of service.. we saw oscar again the next night for supper. he remembered us and again was very friendly. javier was our server for supper that night. he was professional and attentive to our needs during supper. he had a good sense of humor and made the dinner fun. overall the wait staff was the best ... they made it look easy“

Also to everyone complaining about pricing and portion sizing: a not so friendly reminder that it's happening everywhere. It's called inflation. So before you leave nasty reviews on local businesses try to be mindful about that they're doing what they have to for the longevity of their restaurants. Also personally? I think the portions are often very generous and huge, you get any meal and you always have enough left for a second lunch. I think the price VERY much fits what you're getting. Plus it's delicious. So instead of griping and complaining, just be kind or go somewhere else. It's not a huge deal, you just have unrealistic expectations for a restaurant that already goes above and beyond. Thank you!“
