“First, let me say that these wonderful people (Marlee, Christi, Tara, and the Tucson crew) went above and beyond to help me set up a surprise anniversary meal for my wife. That is just who they are. However, the reason that YOU should go to Sweet Tomatoes is that it IS Sweet Tomatoes. As others have mentioned, we have missed this restaurant since it shut down a few years ago. This Tucson location (the only one currently open in the USA) is perfectly representative of the Sweet Tomatoes that we love and remember. The food is so fresh and delicious. We had such old favorites like Tuna Tarragon and Caesar Asiago Salad. The soups and pasta dishes were outstanding. We especially enjoyed the Roasted Ratatouille Soup and the Coconut Muffins. The atmosphere was excellent as the dining area and serving lines were laid out in the same way as they were back in the day. The staff here are so professional, helpful and friendly. They are the best. If you loved Sweet Tomatoes before, you will be delighted with this Tucson location. Let's hope that they will be opening up in more areas of the USA soon.“

“First saw Tumerico on Triple D. Visiting Tucson in March…family tried it out…we beeping loved it. I am almost exclusively a carnivore, but I’d eat at Tumerico’s twice a week if I lived here. Absolutely delicious!“

“My family and I have been wanting to try Egusi and Fufu for a while. We had no idea what to expect and we ended up being blown away. The Egusi was incredibly flavored. We couldn't put our fingers on the flavors but it smelt and tasted very much like an Italian Mariana. Eating the Fufu with the Egusi is a must! It brings both foods to a different level. It's definitely a comfort food. We also purchased goat soup, chicken, salad and plantains. The goat was tender and gamey. The chicken was grilled, tender and had flavors that I couldn't decipher. It was flavors that we had never tasted before but we all agreed that it was amazing. The salad was easy, light and tasty. The plantains were out of this world! The best plantains that I've EVER tasted. The restaurant is a small "hole in a wall". It's also the CLEANEST hole in a wall that we'd ever visited. It's decorated with West African art, furniture and instruments. The entire restaurant, from the food, decor and amazing customer service makes this is a MUST try. We'll definitely be back. “We had a really nice dinner at Penelope. The wood fired pizza crust is nice because it is still chewey even though it's thin. Both pizzas we had were very tasty. The menu is trim, but they have all the basics you need. The staff were incredible. They work so well together and create a very pleasant atmosphere. You can tell they take great pride in taking care of everyone. They have communal tables or individual tables and a patio. The communal tables are great! They let the restaurant stay flexible and seat as many as possible without a long wait. I found the dining room to be very loud, but cozy otherwise.“

“This place has great bar-b-que. I would highly reccomend dropping by to enjoy the ribs or pulled pork. The ribs were beautiful and cooked to perfection, the meat was very tender but firm enough to hold together. The pulled pork was very flavorful and when paired with the spicy BBQ sauce it is elevated to a whole new level. Of the four sides tried all of them were incredible, I would imagine they are all just as good. Even for those who do not like mayonnaise based sides the coleslaw is great. When in the area stop in early so you don't miss the opportunity to try thier food since they close when sold out. I almost missed the chance to enjoy the ribs.“

“First thing I say when we walk in, "OMG this place smells AMAZING!!", and tasted even better! Best falafel and gyro I've ever had!! I like that the falafel is patties instead of balls like most places. It was cooked perfectly..crispy crunchy on the outside, soft and almost cake-like on the inside. You get 4 cakes to the order plus pita bread, cucumbers and tomatoes. The gyro is HUGE!! I couldn't even pick it up to try and eat it until I ate some of the meat out of it, which btw, is flavored so beautifully that you don't really need the tzatziki sauce but definitely worth putting on bc the flavors of both go together so well! I HIGHLY recommend going to Istanbul if you want outstanding Mediterranean food in a good atmosphere! This place definitely get 👍👍 from this food enthusiast!!“

“First time I ate here. Lady that took my order was very nice and polite. I ordered the Shredded beef chimi with rice and beans added on, along with a large soda.
I am very lery about ordering shredded beef in Tucson because they tend to not add enough flavoring to eat. Paco's knows how to make shredded beef. Lots of onion peppers and tomatoes. Has a wonderful flavor. The rice was nice and fluffy and the refried beans were ok. I normally like my refried beans on the whole bean, this was more mashed but still good. I told the lady on my way out that the food was really good and my only complaint was the plate was too small for all the food on it.“
