“I think this is the best Chinese food spot in the Continental Ranch/Northwest Tucson area that I’ve tried. Their lunch special prices are great and the dishes I’ve had are delicious. I love that the lunch specials come with soup and crab puffs or an egg roll. They are always busy it seems but they still get the food to me quickly. I wish I would have discovered this restaurant earlier.“
“Go Dim Sum was a cute restaurant to eat at. The atmosphere in there was great to hangout with your friends and get some delicious food. The place was very nice and clean. There was plenty of seating. I love the way they decorated the restaurant it had a modern look. Not only was the restaurant pretty the food was delicious I would definitely come back for the food and im excited to try out the food items on the menu I didn’t try.“
“After a hike in Sabino I was in the mood for a tender smoked turkey sandwich on fresh garlicky bread role from Brushfire. Hadn’t been to Brushfire in a few months. I arrive… no lights, no cars… “Available” signs in the windows. Oops. What about the other location? Also closed. Too bad… Well, I’m still hungry… what else is around? I remembered an Asian restaurant had replaced Peking Palace, so decided to give Nattha’s Bann Thai a try.Restaurant was clean and peaceful, a few other diners, a mellow place for lunch. The lunch specials menu is predominately classic Chinese dishes with a couple of Thai recipes. I ordered the Stir Fry Fresh Ginger Chicken. It was definitely fresh ginger, lots of succulent white chicken meat, onions, green onions and mushrooms — all very good. Service kind and attentive.“
“Nice atmosphere and interior. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful in answering questions about the menu and giving suggestions. The food itself was good, but a bit bland. I do like the "spice bar", which allows you to add some flavor to your soup base, but I was hoping for a bit more flavor, not necessarily more spicy-ness. Went with one of the pre-set hot pots, but if I go again I would consider making my own as there were a lot of ingredients I personally wasn't a fan of in the pre-set ones. Overall a really fun experience and would definitely recommend trying it out at least once!“
“Pretty lovely overall, everything tasted extremely fresh. Though I’d recommend if you’re getting double broth, try to get pretty distinct from the other one you chose, since the flavor is sufficiently similar if you get the lower spiciness. DONT BRING WHITE CLOTHING.Parking: It’s a decently big parking, I’m sure you’ll find your way.“
“My friend chose PFC for her birthday dinner and I am here to say how lovely and helpful and thoughtful the staff were! I was late to reserve but I called and they adjusted to our preferred time. A couple people were tentative and they took care of that, and the extra people caused a rule to kick in requiring 2 servers which was seamless, and they split up the checks as requested without adding any autograt which surprised me but I know I tipped 30% and believe our other party members also left nice tips. BOH also made adjustments to the menu to accommodate a few vegetarian requests. I couldn’t hope for better service than that!! The food is reliable and good American style stuff; the menu is smaller so that may affect some people (like our vegetarian who wanted items no longer on the menu).“
“DELICIOUS!! Hot and and fresh food, good prices, and very friendly service. I've driven by this place for years and stopped one day recently. Hands down, my new favorite Chinese food restaurant. I've been twice now and have not been disappointed. I brought friends along who said it was among the best they've had as well.“
“My 11 yo, her bestie and I ate here the other day and it was delicious! This was my second time here and both visits have been great. On this last one we had the Spam Musubi, a cup of Thom Kha with chicken, the salmon roll and an order of orange chicken. The kiddos loved the Spam Musubi. I loved the Thom Kha! The soup was so fresh and flavorful. Salmon Roll was yummy and the girls really loved the Orange Chicken. I tried both and was very happy. The Orange Chicken was a beautiful bright dish. My daughter had the Thai Iced Coffee boba tea and it did not disappoint! I will definitely be getting a Thai Iced Coffee at my next visit. The service was fast and friendly. He may have been the owner- gave off owner vibes. Plus it’s just super cute in there. We will be back! — at Thai China Bistro.“
“The food here is good. Unfortunately, the service is not as good. The timing for the kitchen is not that good either. I have been here several times and in most occasions that is the situation. It's great if you're going to take it to go. But I wouldn't recommend eating there, especially with a large group. I got my food, and they were literally still bringing plates to my table 15 minutes later. Again good food I would recommend it but take it to go. I would not recommend eating at the establishment, the place is clean and it is small but the service is the biggest down side.“
“Large portion size But it needed more vegetables. Sad to see only 2 vegetables in the dish of beef broccoli had carrots as well. Need to add some more to make about 5 or 6 perhaps water chestnut bok choy for 2and it not be just a plate of rice and a very small egg roll and a few skinny strips of meat.“
“We love what Fred and his family have provided our community for so many years! With Fred, it’s like walking into a friend’s home. He learns folks names, asks how we are doing, remembers our life story and then there is the delicious food!! Thank you Fred and family for your absolutley excellent service and welcoming kindness! We appreciate you!“
“Granted, we went when it was busy. But our party of four waited nearly an hour for food. The pork chops I ordered were cut up but still had the bone in. I was picking apart maybe a third of my meal. Now, bad things aside the food was great! Deliciously cooked and peppered pork. My guests got the sesame and orange chicken. Delicious (will be getting the sesame chicken again for sure!)Try and go during a weekday and maybe for lunch. That weekend dinner was busy!“
“The food was hot and fresh. No Rangoon available. Menu is very extensive and too much to read. I ordered a $9.99 plate and wasn't offered the soup or egg roll that the menu stated came with the meal. I got the bill and was charged $13.99... I drank water.“
“Out of the things I ordered, this is what I like the best, from most to least:Pork with scallion piePan fried bun with porkShredded potato saladPork bunBeef rollsTriple dumplingsHonestly, it was all really good, and I would order from here again! The inside is super bare bones with a lot of open space. It is strangely quiet inside, because there aren't any waiters and there's no music playing, so I feel like it would be kind of an awkward dine in experience.“
“I have tried dozens of Chinese restaurants in Tucson & the surrounding areas and NONE have been really as authentic as Mei Mei. They have been in business for 30+ years here in Tucson, and despite its low key outward appearance, there's no question why this business continues to thrive. Incredible lunch special! Big portions, reasonably priced, while always being greeted with a smile. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. 10/10!“
“It is a mom and pop restaurant. We found it once while in Tucson. It was so good we keep coming back when where in town. This time I had the Pinapple Chicken (pic). It was certainly good. Last time I had the Coconut Chicken. It was good but got a little sweet over time. Love this place.“
“The Mongolian chicken and green beans were good. The pork chow fun was a disappointment. It’s mostly bean sprouts and has no flavor, would not recommend it. I ordered delivery so I can’t speak on the atmosphere of the restaurant or service.“
“Service was impeccable...Food was out of this world delicious! I am not a Chinese food connoisseur and we decided on Chef Wang's per suggestion. It was absolutely perfect in every way!! We ordered a hot pot each and an appetizer. Went home with enough for a meal each the next day.“
“The most delicious food. I highly recommend you do take out though. We have been ordering take out from here for years. I wanted my sister and her family to see how delicious it is, so we dined in, and the experience was not good. The owner was rude multiple times. Maybe it’s because we went in 45 minutes before they closed, or maybe it’s because we have kids, but an owner should make customers feel welcomed so they want to come back.“
“A friend recommended we try the itilian restaurant around the corner. They were closed, so we tried China Szechwan and were delightfully surprised. An expensive menu made it hard to decide. In the end we decided to split a large hot and sour soup- wow! A little sweet and perfectly hot and sour. We also shared mooshu pork. It came piled high and was as delicious as it looked and smelled. We will be back.“
“best food around uofa by far. as a poor wasian far from home, this is where i go whenever i miss home. people complaining need to realize that you dont go here for the restaurant service lmao. the family that works here are so nice and sweet. theyre very generous with their portions and its always delicious. whenever i do dine in, the ladies that work the front are always sweet to me. theres a reason why this place is so popular among the asians here in tucson. CHINA PASTA HOUSE FAN FOR LIFE“
“Miansichuan Noodle Shop is a cozy spot in town. It's got a friendly feel, with decorations. When you walk in, it feels welcoming, like a place you'd like to hang out with friends. The menu is about noodles and some appetizers. They have lots of types, like ramen, and Chinese noodle. The noodles here are really good. They're fresh and taste homemade. The soups and sauces are tasty, not too heavy or light, just right. The toppings, like meat and veggies, are fresh and yummy. The people working at Miansichuan are super nice. They help you choose what to eat if you're not sure. You don't have to wait too long for your food, which is great.Miansichuan Noodle Shop is a great place for noodle lovers. It's a simple, friendly spot with delicious food. Good for a quick bite or a meal with friends or family.“
“This is my go-to Chinese restaurant in the Marana area. The price is reasonable. The food is good. The service is fast and friendly. What more can you ask for! They make everything as you order, you dish not already cooked and on a hot plate. I would recommend that you give this place a try if you are in the area.“
“Had a great Chinese meal here for a large group. Pricing is great and the portions are fairly large, which is always a good sign. The woman serving us was very inviting and nice and provided plenty of extra sauces and fortune cookies. I would come back for another meal, even if I was just getting takeout.“
“Been coming here since I was a little kid they are one of the best! There lomain and chow mine is amazing their house sauce is fantastic and I love the way it's all stored kept and prepared it's so nice to do buffet and only add what you want in your food and leave out what you don't want they also take Apple Pay which is nice since I lost my debit card recently“
“I've lived in a lot of places in the U.S. (including D.C. and Seattle) and eaten at Chinese restaurants in both Hong Kong and Singapore. I'm continuously impressed at the quality of Chinese restaurants in Tucson and Old Peking is no exception. Great, flavorful food, excellent service. Can't wait to return!“
“I have been dining in here more often but originally in 2012 had been ordering takeout…same cooks but different owner and I always have great Thai food meals and appetizers and it’s priced reasonably and the vegetables are always very fresh.I like that I can get Thai that’s not overpriced and the service is quick and friendly ?Vegetarian options: Great options“
“La bella China is as Bella as it is delicious, this place is a hole in the wall. I tried it for the first time a couple of months ago and as of today I've been many times with the fam! This place is so good!!!! The service is great as well!“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pei Wei, and I must say, the highlight of my experience was the impeccable service provided by Josh. From the moment I walked in, Josh greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel genuinely welcomed.Throughout my meal, Josh went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. He was attentive to every detail, from promptly taking my order to ensuring my food arrived hot and delicious. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he provided excellent recommendations when I couldn’t decide what to order. What truly set Josh apart was his genuine kindness and passion for his job. He took the time to engage in friendly conversation, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it enhanced my overall dining experience. In addition to his exceptional service, Josh also demonstrated remarkable professionalism. He was efficient, organized, and always had a positive attitude, even during busy periods. It’s evident that he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about providing the best possible experience for every customer.“
“Been coming here for years. The food is amazing. They’ve always been great and very friendly. Recently their new staff just doesn’t seem to care as much… already had two bad experiences in a row. I’m really sad to say I might be looking for a new spot to go.“
“In my previous review, I gave Golden House a very low score, but that was from many years ago when they had different management. These days, this restaurant actually stays true to their claim regarding "healthy Chinese food." They are probably one of the few Chinese restaurants in town that allows substitution to brown rice (whole grain) instead of white rice, even for fried rice. The major drawback to this is that they're slightly more expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, (I've not had a bill less than $50 for 2 people.) However, all the staff are really nice and with their menu, they really have something for everyone. One of the favorites is definitely the walnut shrimp, only here at Golden House that I've it with pineapples! The house fried rice substituted with brown rice is filling and yummy. They also have good vegan and vegetarian options. I'm glad things have changed, and I'm happy to update my review. Golden House is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the Eastside of Tucson.“
“Ordered takeout pretty late tonight. Food was ready for pickup quickly. Honey walnut shrimp was very tasty, Thai tea was good... My chicken with mixed vegetables was a bit bland and completely missing the chicken though unfortunately. Hopefully next time I order will be better!Edit to update: I was able to call this morning and they remade my chicken and veggies and even gave me rice and a couple egg rolls as well! Super nice of them!“
“Got exactly what I came for. The only other restaurants I found in Tucson that serve orange chicken make it a spicy dish. For my tastes I want it sweet, not spicy. Mandarin Grill did it the way I was looking for. The sauce was so thick and sweet that eaten on it's own it would almost be cloying, but mixing it with the generous portion of steamed rice achieved the perfect level of sweetness and brought out the light tangy notes of citrus. I wish the other eateries in town would take their inspiration from this version of the dish. Unfortunately the egg roll that came with the dinner was not hot. Room temperature, almost cold. The starters came out immediately, and the wait for the main course was not long either. I ordered an additional item at the end to take with me, which took a little longer than I expected, but not excessively. The server refilled my tea multiple times, and I would rate the service as excellent overall.“
“So glad that I stopped in! Nothing like some delicious Pho on a cold day. This place was the best pho I've had in Tucson hands down and I've had my share of pho. But this place was so much more than just the food. The servers were so friendly, so nice and made me laugh which elevated my meal to an experience. I love the murals they have all over their walls of Vietnam. So beautiful and a nice thing to look at while enjoying my meal. This is now my pho place in Tucson for sure! I'll be back.“
“I call in my order to go and it is ready to go in 10 mins. Food is consistently delicious! I get orange chicken and veggie fried rice and garlic chicken. All so good! I live in Tucson Estates and hope they will always be here. Very convenient and great to know it is a safe Chinese restaurant to have here for meals.Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Veggie fried rice delicious.“
“Been getting takeout or delivery from here for about 10 years. Love the food and service. Nice people and always get our order right even when we ask for a special request, like extra spicy on a dish or extra garlic. I like my Mongolian to be slightly cooler in spice than flat out fire but hot enough to numb my teeth and they always get it right. Our favorites are Ho Fun, Lo Mein and the Vietnamese egg rolls.“
“Lunch. My girlfriend ordered Chicken Pad Thai; I had Teriyaki Chicken (pictured). Her bowl was served with ramen noodles instead of the anticipated pad thai rice noodles so she returned it and a few minutes later an employee brought out the corrected order. As we had her pooches in tow we seated ourselves on their dog-friendly patio. The place was clean, the servers polite, the general atmosphere calm and pleasant, conducive to enjoying one’s lunch. The meal was satisfying… “Corporate Asian Food Chain“ delicious.“
“I have eaten here for 3 years. Very solid oriental food. The sesame chicken is my favorite very good subtle spicy. The orange chicken is great and they have really cheap lunch specials! My only comment would be that the portion sizes are a little small to my liking for the price.“
“The food here is great and the price is right. But what I love about this place is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and inviting! They always smile and welcome you in. My wife and I had dinner here (11/18/23) and we watched them great returning customers by name and they genuinely asked them how they were doing. One staff member ran to the door to assist an elderly couple through the door as one of them was using a walker. If the food was sub-par, I would come back for the service and friendliness! This is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant! Would recommend 1000 times over!“
“Went with my mom today. She had the Chicken Pad Thai and I had the soup. So fresh hot and good!!! I think my skin cleared up haha! Plus my mom can relax there. That's not easy for her to do in general, so 1000000 stars in my heart but 5 here will do B) plus there were great multi cultural options!!! How smart! This way many can enjoy! I like that. (: food is for everyone but especially theirs'! It is delicious! Wish I snapped pics of the beautiful interior to share but who can think of food blogging with such delicious hot pot quite literally bubbling in one's face??? XD worthit. I don't want fame. I want that soup!!! Thx to them!“
“the food at pei wei is always so good! the ingredients are always fresh & I’m never disappointed. the staff also makes it a great environment, even when they’re busy, they know what they’re doing & get stuff done in a timely manner!! the manager Martin is also super welcoming and professional! 10/10 recommend!“
“Old fashioned classical Chinese dishes. The place opened in 1989, and I used to eat there in the early nineties starting in 1991. Same great flavors and generous portions to be had in 2024, and that is nice to see. Classics just endure, give it a try.“
“After almost two weeks of exotic travels in the jungles of Vietnam, I came back to the West a new man with new tastes. Already feeling like a stranger in a place that was supposed to be home, I felt very off. Perhaps it was my body returning to health after drinking Saigon Red beer instead of water every single day in the hot, humid and unforgiving Mekong Delta. Perhaps it was the lingering sense that society is lacking an essential something, a something that can transform nightmarish, capitalistic monotony into a harmonious balance of actual joy and fulfilment. Perhaps I was just hungry. It’s only been a week, but I needed to devour a Banh Mi or some Pho asap. I put on some traditional bolero music and went to the googles to find me a solid Vietnamese food stop. And lo and behold, Pho Can Tho. Described as a “Low-key, family-run eatery offering a range of noodle soups & other Vietnamese favorites.”It was about to turn into a high-key joint (or maybe middle key at least) because as soon as I walked in, I told the lady at the counter “I’m looking for Tucson’s Pho King. I just got back from Ho Chi Minh and everyone claimed to be Pho King. I feel like the competition might be a little less stiff down here.” The lady just nodded and sat me at a table for one. I could already tell this place was Pho King headquarters. I asked her for a hot coffee (**Ca Phe Sua Nong)** and was so happy when she brought me the Phin metal filter which sits atop the glass with the coffee grounds and drips into about 3 teaspoons of sweet condensed milk. While she handed me the menu I said “did you know coffee was introduced to Vietnam in 1857 by a French Catholic priest in the form of a single *Coffea arabica* tree and with the lack of fresh milk and proper storage, sweetened condensed milk became a popular substitute as both sweetener and creamer?” She gave me a weird look and walked away. Yeah, I’m not a fan of the French either, toots. My eyes sprawled over the familiar textures and fresh beauty of delicacies of recent past. The Bahn Mi Ga chicken sandwhich with liver pate spread, egg mayo, cilantro and pickled carrots, the Com Tam broken rice with grilled sausage, shrimp, pork chop, shrimp patty, shredded pork skin and egg meatloaf, the Pho with its thinly sliced beef in a sumptuous broth surrounded by noodles, fresh springs, thai basil, cilantro, jalapeno and limes. I let out a loud whisper moan: “phoooooooooooo” as I came out of a food porn daze and noticed the lady was standing in front of me waiting for my order.I think a single tear poured down my cheek and I looked up at her with ecstatic and ethereal eyes and asked her to give me a minute. She raised her eyebrow and walked away once again. I wiped my face and got up to go out front for a cigarette after taking a sip of my sweet, sweet coffee. There was a new Vietnam war brewing. And it was one for my heart. The last time I felt these feelings was a long, long time ago. Like January 25th after almost crashing into a cow on a motorcycle. And i’m so grateful to feel them again. I ordered all the things and I think I may have found the Pho King of the desert. 5 Stars.“
“Hidden inside of Tucson's largest Asian-imported supermarket is this gem of a Chinese restaurant. Ever since Gee's Garden had closed down, I've been in search for a place with great shumai and great roasted pork, and this place delivers both. Meals are packaged to-go, packed with meat, rice, and greens. The duck is usually packed with flavor. Albeit, sometimes the seasoning on the pork is inconsistent , but all-in-all, I'm never disappointed. This place makes shumai just the way I like it!“
“Excellent food and service. Moved to AZ from San Francisco over 2 years ago and until I discovered The Bamboo Terrace I could not find a Chinese restaurant that “hit the sweet spot.” I will most definitely make this my go to place for wonderful Chinese food????????❣️“
“By far my fav spot for lunch. BEST $$ lunch specials, fast service and always fresh! I have tried several dishes, and all have been excellent. My fav is the Hunun Chicken (shrimp and beef option) Hunan is a spicy brown sauce... And has lots of veggies. The specials comes with a choice of eggroll or crab puffs, choice of egg drop soup or hot n sour soup, choice of rice ( fried, white or brown) they also have the option of "oil free" if you ask. There are also meatless options and vegetarian meat on the menu (I haven't tried cause I love me some CARNE! It does tend to get busy, I always see a lot of pick ups, and they also deliver but I always enjoy dining-in, solo.“
“New to the area and have been looking for a nice Asian restaurant and finally found it! Everything I have tried has been amazing! The customer service was wonderful as well. The hot and sour soup hit really close to home and really had a nice balance to it.“
“This is one of Tucson's best restaurants! Try the Szechuan cabbage. The hot pots are amazing, the egg rolls are the only thing I'd avoid but only because they are average and most other things on the menu are amazing. The water boiled fish is delicious, the cold noodles also. This place is really great and worth trying!“
“This is one of the best food places in the student union simply because they maintain integrity. There are no GrubHub kiosks, so you can always count on using your meal plan here. Staff and managers are friendly and efficient. You'll be in and out quickly even in a long line at lunchtime.GrubHub kiosks in the student union hinder other food places and are detrimental to well-managed establishments. However, the food quality at this Panda Express is not good compared to other franchise locations. You can expect to get a ligament in your chicken and or overcooked/oily food from time to time.“
“I would rate this 10 stars if I could. Best Chinese food I've ever had, and I can't describe how savory and mouth-watering everything was. This is a MUST TRY restaurant. We waited an hour, so make reservations in advance. Was so worth the wait. It was so good, we'll have to come down to Tucson just to eat here again.Never even heard of Yu Xiang Style Chicken and it was sooo delicious! Easily the best Chinese dish I've ever eaten. The Dan Dan noodles were also distinctly different from typical Dan Dan noodles, and were even more spectacular. We also ordered green tea.Very accommodating, friendly, and quick staff. They took the time to explain dishes that were foreign to us calmly even when they were incredibly busy. Can't recommend more.“
