“After a hike in Sabino I was in the mood for a tender smoked turkey sandwich on fresh garlicky bread role from Brushfire. Hadn’t been to Brushfire in a few months. I arrive… no lights, no cars… “Available” signs in the windows. Oops. What about the other location? Also closed. Too bad… Well, I’m still hungry… what else is around? I remembered an Asian restaurant had replaced Peking Palace, so decided to give Nattha’s Bann Thai a try.Restaurant was clean and peaceful, a few other diners, a mellow place for lunch. The lunch specials menu is predominately classic Chinese dishes with a couple of Thai recipes. I ordered the Stir Fry Fresh Ginger Chicken. It was definitely fresh ginger, lots of succulent white chicken meat, onions, green onions and mushrooms — all very good. Service kind and attentive.“
“Food is GREAT, significantly better than another nearby Thai restaurant. I had Chicken Satay Skewers and Fresh Spring rolls, oth from the appetizer menu. $19.70 + Tax + Gratuity which I think is the current market rates, but this food was BETTER than "the market" average! Value is GREAT! Atmosphere is outstanding! Also, I liked that they don't add another 3.5% to food proces for Credit Cards, unless you must use oma Credit Card. Therefore, bring CASH or a DEBIT CARD, to save EVERYONE money & time!“
“Easily the best Thai food I've had in town. I can't speak to the service or ambiance as I have only placed to-go orders, but wow- they are really, really great! Also, they make their dishes on the mild side and have a large assortment of hot sauces/oils to choose from to make it as spicy/hot as you like.“
“My 11 yo, her bestie and I ate here the other day and it was delicious! This was my second time here and both visits have been great. On this last one we had the Spam Musubi, a cup of Thom Kha with chicken, the salmon roll and an order of orange chicken. The kiddos loved the Spam Musubi. I loved the Thom Kha! The soup was so fresh and flavorful. Salmon Roll was yummy and the girls really loved the Orange Chicken. I tried both and was very happy. The Orange Chicken was a beautiful bright dish. My daughter had the Thai Iced Coffee boba tea and it did not disappoint! I will definitely be getting a Thai Iced Coffee at my next visit. The service was fast and friendly. He may have been the owner- gave off owner vibes. Plus it’s just super cute in there. We will be back! — at Thai China Bistro.“
“Customer service is on point! Always greeted quickly upon arrival and checked on throughout dining. One of the ladies is super sweet and offered to take a bday photo for us, and allowed us to make a protein substitution. Definitely recommend.“
“Amazing food. I had all but given up on finding good thai food in Tucson. I was wrong. This is it. excellent spice, complex layers of flavors, all the things that make for excellent Thai. been twice In one week, ready to go back again! John“
“I love the food from here. I'm still new to the area, so I will make it a point to stop in more often. I mostly grab some take out when I know that I will be close by. Staff is very friendly and always pleasant. I'm so glad I found them, I need my Thai food every now & then“
“The most delicious food. I highly recommend you do take out though. We have been ordering take out from here for years. I wanted my sister and her family to see how delicious it is, so we dined in, and the experience was not good. The owner was rude multiple times. Maybe it’s because we went in 45 minutes before they closed, or maybe it’s because we have kids, but an owner should make customers feel welcomed so they want to come back.“
“I have been dining in here more often but originally in 2012 had been ordering takeout…same cooks but different owner and I always have great Thai food meals and appetizers and it’s priced reasonably and the vegetables are always very fresh.I like that I can get Thai that’s not overpriced and the service is quick and friendly ?Vegetarian options: Great options“
“So glad that I stopped in! Nothing like some delicious Pho on a cold day. This place was the best pho I've had in Tucson hands down and I've had my share of pho. But this place was so much more than just the food. The servers were so friendly, so nice and made me laugh which elevated my meal to an experience. I love the murals they have all over their walls of Vietnam. So beautiful and a nice thing to look at while enjoying my meal. This is now my pho place in Tucson for sure! I'll be back.“
“Lunch. My second time dining here. The first was back in February 2023, which was not such a great experience, but I love Thai cuisine so thought I would give Tuk Tuk another try. I’m happy to say today’s lunch was hot, fresh, delicious and with excellent service (kind, attentive, considerate).Probably my biggest complaint about the 2023 visit was the somewhat cold, impersonal and yet imposing nature of the middle-aged woman who served us, making my girlfriend and I both uncomfortable, and as the food was rather mediocre… well, it left such an impression I stayed away for over a year. Today’s experience was vastly superior, night and day. The young person who served me knew how to treat customers making me feel welcome and at home. And the food was great.I do wish they would add more curry dishes, green and yellow with something other than just beef. Like green with chicken. And make it Thai hot!For today’s meal, I had an order of calamari and the Pad Mee Lueng from the lunch menu. As you can see from the photos, there’s enough for two meals. The calamari alone was enough to fill me up.“
“After almost two weeks of exotic travels in the jungles of Vietnam, I came back to the West a new man with new tastes. Already feeling like a stranger in a place that was supposed to be home, I felt very off. Perhaps it was my body returning to health after drinking Saigon Red beer instead of water every single day in the hot, humid and unforgiving Mekong Delta. Perhaps it was the lingering sense that society is lacking an essential something, a something that can transform nightmarish, capitalistic monotony into a harmonious balance of actual joy and fulfilment. Perhaps I was just hungry. It’s only been a week, but I needed to devour a Banh Mi or some Pho asap. I put on some traditional bolero music and went to the googles to find me a solid Vietnamese food stop. And lo and behold, Pho Can Tho. Described as a “Low-key, family-run eatery offering a range of noodle soups & other Vietnamese favorites.”It was about to turn into a high-key joint (or maybe middle key at least) because as soon as I walked in, I told the lady at the counter “I’m looking for Tucson’s Pho King. I just got back from Ho Chi Minh and everyone claimed to be Pho King. I feel like the competition might be a little less stiff down here.” The lady just nodded and sat me at a table for one. I could already tell this place was Pho King headquarters. I asked her for a hot coffee (**Ca Phe Sua Nong)** and was so happy when she brought me the Phin metal filter which sits atop the glass with the coffee grounds and drips into about 3 teaspoons of sweet condensed milk. While she handed me the menu I said “did you know coffee was introduced to Vietnam in 1857 by a French Catholic priest in the form of a single *Coffea arabica* tree and with the lack of fresh milk and proper storage, sweetened condensed milk became a popular substitute as both sweetener and creamer?” She gave me a weird look and walked away. Yeah, I’m not a fan of the French either, toots. My eyes sprawled over the familiar textures and fresh beauty of delicacies of recent past. The Bahn Mi Ga chicken sandwhich with liver pate spread, egg mayo, cilantro and pickled carrots, the Com Tam broken rice with grilled sausage, shrimp, pork chop, shrimp patty, shredded pork skin and egg meatloaf, the Pho with its thinly sliced beef in a sumptuous broth surrounded by noodles, fresh springs, thai basil, cilantro, jalapeno and limes. I let out a loud whisper moan: “phoooooooooooo” as I came out of a food porn daze and noticed the lady was standing in front of me waiting for my order.I think a single tear poured down my cheek and I looked up at her with ecstatic and ethereal eyes and asked her to give me a minute. She raised her eyebrow and walked away once again. I wiped my face and got up to go out front for a cigarette after taking a sip of my sweet, sweet coffee. There was a new Vietnam war brewing. And it was one for my heart. The last time I felt these feelings was a long, long time ago. Like January 25th after almost crashing into a cow on a motorcycle. And i’m so grateful to feel them again. I ordered all the things and I think I may have found the Pho King of the desert. 5 Stars.“
“Absolutely loved the food here. We came in when it was slow so we were able to be seated and served very quickly. I also had the coffee which was very good. I'd highly recommend the Pad Hom Sod, it was very delicious and the waitress asked how hot I'd like it on a scale of 1-5. I asked for just a 3 and it was perfect, really nice spice and very tasty. I'd definitely order from this restaurant again“
“Went with my mom today. She had the Chicken Pad Thai and I had the soup. So fresh hot and good!!! I think my skin cleared up haha! Plus my mom can relax there. That's not easy for her to do in general, so 1000000 stars in my heart but 5 here will do B) plus there were great multi cultural options!!! How smart! This way many can enjoy! I like that. (: food is for everyone but especially theirs'! It is delicious! Wish I snapped pics of the beautiful interior to share but who can think of food blogging with such delicious hot pot quite literally bubbling in one's face??? XD worthit. I don't want fame. I want that soup!!! Thx to them!“
“I knew I needed some lunch between dance rehearsals so I called when he opened at 11:30. He let me place a pick up order for 1:15 right before he closed so that i could come between my dance rehearsals. I walked in the door and promptly got my order. There were others in line as well but the food was ready right away. I drove back to dance to eat and i opened it up and my whole car smelled amazing. I sent a picture to my grandma and mom before i digged in. let's just say you need to come here and get some food so flavorful colorful fresh and delicious. You can get spicy or non spicy too and the non spicy is so so flavorful thankfully! I plan on coming back. I even had to FaceTime my grandma while eating to show her how good it was she can't wait to try!“
