“Tried both dumplings and the garlic cucumbers. Everything was delicious! A little on the pricier side for the amount of food you get, but they are hand made, and you don't feel like you over ate after. Everything was so good, I forgot to take pictures of anything! We will go back.“
“Yum yum!!! We have had Vietnamese food at quite a few restaurants but decided to try Bun Dock since it was so close to home. This is now our favorite and the only one we will go to in the future. Loved the fried tofu and the peanut sauce for dipping. The chicken on my "Bun" dish was delicious. The pork was unusual in that it was super crispy, but it was a nice and tasty surprise. The fish sauce was mild and lovely. Can't say enough positive!!!“
“Our son, who was born and raised in California, and is now stationed in Europe, really misses certain food places. Panda Express is one of them. So, when he is in town, for several weeks at Christmas time, he drives over and picks up take out for all of us. This year was no exception, except that I do believe that this time, it was the best take out ever. The food was piping hot, and very delicious. I, always get the mushroom chicken, and these mushrooms were ever so tasty. Chicken Kung Pao is what my husband likes best, and, he commented, that he does not remember it ever being THIS good. Our son likes the chicken teriyaki, the black pepper chicken, and the string bean chicken, so lots of that was brought home. As a special treat, we, always, get the Honey Walnut Shrimp, and if any dish there should get a rating of ten, it is this one. Those shrimp have so much flavor. Of course, lots of steamed rice is brought home, also. It's a feast.“
“My husband and I , visitors, tried the 3rd location of Miss Saigon Pho. We were very impressive with staff's hospitality here, nice & polite (same as at campbell's and really different at downtown's). We ordered Pho & Shrimp+pork wonton egg noodle& Spring roll. The peanut sauce tasty. Good quantity and good quality at the reasonable price. We would recommend this location too.“
“Ha Long Bay is a quaint, comfy, Vietnamese restaurant that serves up fresh, flavorful dishes for almost any palate! The service is top notch and the wait staff were all pleasant despite tending to a bit of a dinner rush.We loved the Fried Tofu with Peanut and the Bun Julienne Vegetable and Tofu, both dishes tasted excellent and captivated our taste buds. All in all, we'll be back, many many times!Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options, mostly ovo-veg but many items are vegan by default.Dietary restrictions: Like many Vietnamese restaurants, gluten free and dairy free diets are easily accomodated. Fish and shellfish allergies might have a tougher time.“
“Great pho but pricey. 10 to 12 dollars is more than fair. But they charge 14 to 16. And this is just for soup. As a result I only go once in a while instead of 2-3 times a week. If they lowered the price they would make up the difference in volume and people would go more often.“
“This place is under a new ownership, which has done amazing things with the place. We were taken care by Charisma, who was very attentive and sweet. The food was fantastic, and some of the best views you could ask for. Super clean facilities. Also, seems to get a fair amount of take-out business, soups -- especially -- seemed to be in favor“
“Absolutely love this place. All I really get is the pho Thai but it is delicious. The service is great and they are very nice. If you’re also looking for good boba this is the place. :) the only complaint I really have is the parking but that’s only because its a little difficult to find and it’s mostly full but otherwise the trip is worth it. Will definitely continue to come here.“
“Great place if you are on a road trip and want something refreshing and/or Vegetarian to eat! This place is located right of the freeway, and there is lots of parking. The food was extremely fresh and great to eat. Everything had flavor, and makes you want to eat more even when full. The fried dumplings were definitely something to come back for! All the seafood was well cooked, and non of it tasted fishy or pungent. It was all in all a healthy meal. The whole restaurant was clean including the bathrooms.“
“Been coming here since I was a little kid they are one of the best! There lomain and chow mine is amazing their house sauce is fantastic and I love the way it's all stored kept and prepared it's so nice to do buffet and only add what you want in your food and leave out what you don't want they also take Apple Pay which is nice since I lost my debit card recently“
“Good food, large portions, fair prices. Service staff are good. Attached to the Asian market so everything is fresh. Spring rolls are a little bland, but better than average, mostly cosisting of shredded lettuce served with a nontypical peanut flavored sauce.“
“This was a fantastic place. Very fresh food, generous portions. I especially loved the spring rolls and eggrolls! We also loved the service: Very attentive, and brought the food out super fresh. Special thanks to Neftalí for his cheerful attitude!“
“After almost two weeks of exotic travels in the jungles of Vietnam, I came back to the West a new man with new tastes. Already feeling like a stranger in a place that was supposed to be home, I felt very off. Perhaps it was my body returning to health after drinking Saigon Red beer instead of water every single day in the hot, humid and unforgiving Mekong Delta. Perhaps it was the lingering sense that society is lacking an essential something, a something that can transform nightmarish, capitalistic monotony into a harmonious balance of actual joy and fulfilment. Perhaps I was just hungry. It’s only been a week, but I needed to devour a Banh Mi or some Pho asap. I put on some traditional bolero music and went to the googles to find me a solid Vietnamese food stop. And lo and behold, Pho Can Tho. Described as a “Low-key, family-run eatery offering a range of noodle soups & other Vietnamese favorites.”It was about to turn into a high-key joint (or maybe middle key at least) because as soon as I walked in, I told the lady at the counter “I’m looking for Tucson’s Pho King. I just got back from Ho Chi Minh and everyone claimed to be Pho King. I feel like the competition might be a little less stiff down here.” The lady just nodded and sat me at a table for one. I could already tell this place was Pho King headquarters. I asked her for a hot coffee (**Ca Phe Sua Nong)** and was so happy when she brought me the Phin metal filter which sits atop the glass with the coffee grounds and drips into about 3 teaspoons of sweet condensed milk. While she handed me the menu I said “did you know coffee was introduced to Vietnam in 1857 by a French Catholic priest in the form of a single *Coffea arabica* tree and with the lack of fresh milk and proper storage, sweetened condensed milk became a popular substitute as both sweetener and creamer?” She gave me a weird look and walked away. Yeah, I’m not a fan of the French either, toots. My eyes sprawled over the familiar textures and fresh beauty of delicacies of recent past. The Bahn Mi Ga chicken sandwhich with liver pate spread, egg mayo, cilantro and pickled carrots, the Com Tam broken rice with grilled sausage, shrimp, pork chop, shrimp patty, shredded pork skin and egg meatloaf, the Pho with its thinly sliced beef in a sumptuous broth surrounded by noodles, fresh springs, thai basil, cilantro, jalapeno and limes. I let out a loud whisper moan: “phoooooooooooo” as I came out of a food porn daze and noticed the lady was standing in front of me waiting for my order.I think a single tear poured down my cheek and I looked up at her with ecstatic and ethereal eyes and asked her to give me a minute. She raised her eyebrow and walked away once again. I wiped my face and got up to go out front for a cigarette after taking a sip of my sweet, sweet coffee. There was a new Vietnam war brewing. And it was one for my heart. The last time I felt these feelings was a long, long time ago. Like January 25th after almost crashing into a cow on a motorcycle. And i’m so grateful to feel them again. I ordered all the things and I think I may have found the Pho King of the desert. 5 Stars.“
“So glad that I stopped in! Nothing like some delicious Pho on a cold day. This place was the best pho I've had in Tucson hands down and I've had my share of pho. But this place was so much more than just the food. The servers were so friendly, so nice and made me laugh which elevated my meal to an experience. I love the murals they have all over their walls of Vietnam. So beautiful and a nice thing to look at while enjoying my meal. This is now my pho place in Tucson for sure! I'll be back.“
“Ordered takeout pretty late tonight. Food was ready for pickup quickly. Honey walnut shrimp was very tasty, Thai tea was good... My chicken with mixed vegetables was a bit bland and completely missing the chicken though unfortunately. Hopefully next time I order will be better!Edit to update: I was able to call this morning and they remade my chicken and veggies and even gave me rice and a couple egg rolls as well! Super nice of them!“
“Located across from the Amtrak station, I anticipated the place being busier on a Friday night. We walked in and waited about 10 min until someone actually seated us. I had to go up to the bar to ask for a table. Once seated, their service was very good. Several people waited on us, asking several times if we needed anything else. My husband got the regular size #29. I got the #57, and my son got the chicken fried rice. My husband and my meals were delicious. Lots of flavor and great portion size. The fried rice was huge but didn't have too much flavor. Not what they're known for, so I wasn't too disappointed by that. Did take a while for someone to take our credit card and cash out, even while not too busy. Would go again.“
“Been coming here for years. The food is amazing. They’ve always been great and very friendly. Recently their new staff just doesn’t seem to care as much… already had two bad experiences in a row. I’m really sad to say I might be looking for a new spot to go.“
“Stopped for lunch and ordered a bowl with noodles and veggies with tofu. It was very good. I did add some soy sauce and salt but overall, I enjoyed it. The tofu was fried and a bit spongey but nicely browned. The veggies were crisp and fresh. The egg rolls were exceptional. Parking is only at the garage across the street.Vegetarian options: You get to decide what you want in your bowl. Tofu option is available and lots of veggies.Dietary restrictions: You can pick what you want.“
“Went with my mom today. She had the Chicken Pad Thai and I had the soup. So fresh hot and good!!! I think my skin cleared up haha! Plus my mom can relax there. That's not easy for her to do in general, so 1000000 stars in my heart but 5 here will do B) plus there were great multi cultural options!!! How smart! This way many can enjoy! I like that. (: food is for everyone but especially theirs'! It is delicious! Wish I snapped pics of the beautiful interior to share but who can think of food blogging with such delicious hot pot quite literally bubbling in one's face??? XD worthit. I don't want fame. I want that soup!!! Thx to them!“
“Wow! I have never tried a Vietnamese sandwich before and this place delivered for my first time! The only complaint I have is that I ordered one shrimp sandwich, they're smaller than other sandwiches I've had before, but that's ok. Order 2 if you're extra hungry like me! Coming back again soon :)“
